Kenmore Refrigerator Review Summary

Kenmore Refrigerators are trusted by many of our reviewers whether it is brand new or tried and true. JuneDoll30 says, “I have owned nothing but Kenmore appliances, including my refrigerator because I whole heartedly trust the name.” Rayzor says, “With refrigerators, new, clean and efficient usually beats old, grimy and less efficient, even if you have to give up some usable space.” While unhappy to get rid of his older model Kenmore, he was thrilled with many of the features of the new Kenmore, even if it meant giving up space. Capnfran says, “The refrigerator is a dream come true. This is the only brand we shall buy.” Some Kenmore users had problems with refrigerators that had ice and water dispenser in the door, or with customer service at the store, but overall most are very happy with their new or older Kenmore Refrigerator. This is a review for model 78252, a top-freezer in white, listed online as having 20.6 cu.ft. capacity (more about this later). This was purchased as a replacement for a 13-year-old Kenmore top-freezer with a 21.6 cu. ft. capacity, so we lost some storage space in favor of a new, clean and, most importantly, more... read full review »

Just happens that I had a experience with Sears and a refrigerator that needs to know by as many as can read this review. It seems that the point of view that Sears puts the sales force is to only sell the product, not find the right application for the product being sold. Most times buyers could be...

Over the years I have owned nothing but Kenmore appliances, including my refrigerator because I whole heartedly trust the name.  I have never been disappointed with respect to reliability and the performance of my appliances, including the refrigerator.  It has been going strong for over 15 years and I would most definitely buy another Kenmore unit when this one finally does give out.  But for now it is still going strong and hopefully has a few more years of great performance.

Bought a Kenmore Trio refrigerator to update an aging kitchen. I love the layout and through-door ice and filtered water. If we decide to sell the house, this item definitely adds appeal to the kitchen.

Bought a Kenmore Coldspot 10676239402 in 2006. I have not overloaded shelves with too much weight or abused the fridge in any way.I opened the fridge today with a shelf broken and everything on it fallen. In less than 3 years, all the plastic trim of the shelves have cracked. 2 shelves have cracked in 3 spots, the others have multiple stress cracks. After spending 3 hours on the phone with Sears and being transferred all around the parts, service, customer service, store Dept.s, no one can help me. They want to sell me the sames piece of crap shelves at $60 + up each and send a service man for...

I have had to replace this Kenmore Elite with ice & water in the door with the bottom freezer twice.  Thank God for the lemon law because they were both lemons.  Both had freezer problems; the seal prevented a tight fit causing thawing of frozen goods in the freezer, major bucks there.  There was never enough ice;  it wouldn't make enough in one day for one person.  Things in the back of the frig part would freeze and things in the front wouldn't get cold enough and both would ruin, more bucks.  I have thrown away more food than I can average and ice costs past $2,000.  I would not advise... read full review »

We recently purchased a new Kenmore refrigerator from your Christiansburg VA store.  The refrigerator is a dream come true.  This is the only brand we shall buy.

The entire sales and delivery process was so refreshing and pleasant that we wish to complement all persons involved.   The Sears sales representative was so knowledgeable and efficient in showing us a product that was wanted that the sale was a pleasant experience.   His knowledge of the products features and quality wss outstanding and lead to rapidly finding what was needed. His information on the delivery and available rebates...

I purchased a Kenmore side by side fridge a couple of months ago from sears, & I really dislike it!  I orginally tried to get a smooth front Amana with none of the fancy stuff, just a top mount with a smooth front, but I was given the run around and I ended up with this side by side kenmore with the PUR water filtration.  First of all the water filtration unit is horrible, the water taste like it is comming from the sewer, & the ice is the same way, my tap water taste better than this filtered water and thats sad.  I thought with the added water filter, that I could stop buying bottled water,... read full review »

Bought a brand new Kenmore  Refrigerator in April 2002 and paid almost 1000.00 dollars for it and within 5 years the ice machine has broken twice. The door handles get stained and will not come clean. The Ice shroud that the ice comes out of in the door has broken and the light bulb cover broke and fell onto the light and melted it. NEVER again will I buy a kenmore/Sears appliance.

The only reason we have had two is when we moved the people who bought our last home asked if we could leave it. So we purchased another when we moved to Michigan, that was 16 years ago. Heavy duty. They do not make products like they use to. The color is Almond matches the rest of the appliances. So I'm happy. It would be easy to switch out with a Black one as our stove is Almond with a Black door. We use our items until they can't be used anymore.

We have had this refrigerator for 2 years. When it was 1 year old the icemaker motor broke down. The repair cost over $100. I hope this is not an annual problem. The design of the freezer may be the problem. The ice is kept on the door so the motor is exposed to warm air everytime the door is opened causing it to freeze at times.

This refrigerator has already saved us money on our electric bill and we have only had it a few months. The Sears order process was exhausting by the time they sent it to the local Sears Retail Dealer, but overall we are very happy with the fridge including the spill proof shelves and the two separate humidity controlled storage shelves.

We purchased a Kenmore French Door refrigerator, Model # 78306, with bottom freezer. I was replacing a twenty one year old Knmore, and I have to say I was intrigued by the design, but a bit nervous about the bottom freezer. After reading lots of reviews online, I decided it was the fridge for me. I am so glad I did! This fridge is so roomy, and the bottom freezer is a breeze. There is a pull-out top shelf in it for the Ice bin and ice trays. I didn't want the icemaker, as we have had trouble over the years with them leaking and pouring water all over, ruining the downstair ceilings and walls. I...
