Kenmore Refrigerator —

From the very beginning we began having problems with our Kenmore Elite Tri-door Refrigerator.

The first indication was leaking from the water supply system in the door, it leaked all over the inside and outside of the refrigerator, damaging some of the kitchen cabinetry.

Then the bottom shelf  in the refrigerator began to warp and the drawers began to fall out.  We had an extended warranty of three years and during that time we had the bottom shelf replaced for a temporary solution.  The repair people told us that the problem was a support issue and that they could not help us with it.

We contacted Sears at least 20 times to get approval for a replacement for the refrigerator as we were told we had an uncorrectable problem.  We would begin at one number and talk to 5-6 people, each time being transferred.  We would end up at the original number after 1-1.5 hours, sometimes longer.

We were told numerous times that since we had begun the process during the warranty that a resolution would be made no longer how long it took.  The minute the warranty was over Sears refused to talk to us or send out repair people for less than $100.00 per visit.

Now we have red dishpans for drawers (they sit on the bottom of the refrigerator) and everyone who sees them gets the full Sears failure to correct story.
