I used to work at Sears in the vaccum department and I know the good ones from the bad. This is a great vacuum. As long as you don't mind changing the filter/bag it is as good if not better than the Dysons. It has all the toys and gadgets one needs with enough power to get a good clean job done. They make this same vaccum with a bag or a filter as an option. I suggest the bagged form if you have pets. Filters get clogged easily with pet hair. I would not buy it unless it was on sale. The vaccums at Sears go on sale almost everyother week, so just be patient and buy it on sale OR buy it and then come back in less than 30 days when it is on sale and do a "price match" to get the lesser price.
