Kenmore Oasis Dryer- Canyon Capacity —
I purcased the Oasis He washer and dryer together. The dryer was received but had a big dent in the side and it was sent back to the store. The replacement dryer came with a defect in the timer. There was something blocking the digital numbers and you couldn't read them. The 3rd dryer to arrive was perfect. Well for about 3 months. The electronic board malfunctioned and would turn the unit on during the day and night when not in use. Just the lights would come on and it would beep like a load had finished. The repairman came in and told me that this was an issue with these models and they had not replaced the boards as of yet. Well about 5 months later he was back again to replace the same electronic board, malfunctioning again by beeping the entire time a load was drying. Very irritating and you could not turn the beeping sound off. Why won't sears fix these issues? If you have one of these models I would urge you to purchase the extended warranty. Your going to need it. The sears repairman said this was the main issue with these dryers was the panel boards and they had not changed a thing so I just keep getting more parts that are probably not going to last. He also told me the panel board was $300.00 alone. Other that that I love it, I just hope it keeps working.
