I did due diligence with this purchase especially after having purchased several microwaves that lasted just past warranty--why purchase extended warranties here when so many of these ovens cost less than when I purchased this one. After checking epinions,consumer reports and other websites I determined I really didn't need all the electronic gizmos that required many hours of reading before I could do the basics like warm leftovers and coffee. I love my Kenmore microwave and have used it for years. It lasts and lasts and I only have had tor replace a battery one time and that is it. Works forever.
Kenmore 1000Watt Model 665
We have had this microwave for over 6 years and have NEVER had an issue with it.... It heats properly and is timed right as well. I use the pre-set buttons often for dethawing and popcorn or potatoes. It's perfect. I will buy this brand again when this one goes to micrwave heaven. After 7 years of having it mounted over our stove, we were told by a carpenter that it needed a bracket installed on the back or it would pull our cupboards down. Called Sears and got the bracket installed it and the microwave is as good as new. The only thing I have to admit not liking, is the glass tray...
