Uniquely Saves Space

Intro
It was really a weird decision process that led me to this Kenmore Toast/Wave. With the redesign of our kitchen, the designer at Home Depot came up with a very unique plan. I was looking to create a pantry out of an existing closet by opening it up on a different side. Through a variety of things, she came up with a design of putting a cabinet on the bottom and another on the top, and building an alcove for a microwave in the middle.  While reconstructing the room, the carpenter took down the size of the old closet to gain some much-needed space that had been left unused in the design and... review »

Great idea - unreliable microwave

The toast and wave microwave is a great idea but poorly made. Ours was repaired twice in two years due to malfunctioning heating component. After the third malfunction we have trashed the microwave and bought a basic GE microwave. I do not recommend this microwave unless you like buying a new microwave every year.

When we purchased this unit, we were skeptical of all microwaves due to poor heating/cooking performance...well this Toast N Wave unit dispelled our fears...it is a great and reliable performer and we could not have asked for a better value!  Thanks!

Works great. The rounded walls add extra space and ensure better heating. Toaster works great for bread or bagels.
