I had purchased this mirowave from Sears a little over a month ago. I looked through reviews and noticed a lot of negative reviews about this product. I even asked the salesman about the product and he said they were mainly false. He was kinda rude with me and pushy for a sale. My other microwave lasted for 5 yrs but met it's end from a lightning storm.
The Kenmore 1200 watt microwave had all the features I wanted. Great power, inside space and was rated #1 by consumer reports. I purchased the microwave hoping that I wouldn't get a lemon. I had the microwave for approx. 1 month. It heated great and had worked as good as what I read about it. Then a sunday afternoon when I was making supper, I just heated up a couple of items a few minutes earlier. I went to use the microwave again and I had it timed out for 5 minutes. It rang saying it was done cooking and I opened it up, the food was still ice cold. I tried this several times and even unplugged the microwave to reset it. It still failed to heat up anything. I read what consumers wrote about this microwave, and everyone I read stated that it just stopped heating. I was hoping for the best when I purchased the product that was rated #1 on consumer reports, but overall I was very disatisfied. I would not reccomend this product. Out of 20 reviews I read about it, atleast 10 were negative. I hope this saves someone the time for looking at this particular product. The price was excellent and options were better than normal, but must have been bad craftmanship on this particular item. Good luck everyone.
