Kenmore HE5T Front Load Washer Review Summary
Most Viewpoints reviewers are pleased with the Kenmore front load washing machine. The Kenmore gets high marks for the washing large loads, getting clothes clean, and for energy savings. This washing machine uses approximately 70 percent less water than older models. It's not a quiet washer, and some consumers have problems getting it leveled. There were mechanical problems with some of the earlier models off the line, but more recent buyers are getting better reliability. This is a front load washer. Some owners love the front load while others say it means a lot of bending and suggest buying the pedestal.

Favorable Review
At first I was a bit hesitant about dropping 3000 into a washer and dryer, but this one was well worht the money. I have back problems and with the pedestal set I don't have to do any bending. It gets all the stains out of the clothes, including things I thought I was going to have to…

Critical Review
This washer is not my favorite. You definetly don't get what you pay for. When my clothes are on the spin cycle it shakes so bad the the washer actually moves from it's original location. The washer is also extremly load on the spin cycle. Would have been better off woth the 400.00 dollar…

— This machine is garbage! I've had it for a year and after a new mother board, leaking, mold smelling and the average repair time of two weeks, I chunking it out for new machine. Go to the Kennmore web site and read the reviews...I wish I had. This machine was fine for a couple of months, then it fell appart. Do you homework and find another machine...DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! —…

I researched this product for awhile before I bought it. I really wanted the Kenmore HE2t when it came out, but couldn't afford it at the time. Boy, am I glad I waited! Apparently there were alot of problems with that model, and many redesigns were made before this one was released. I actually bought the HE5t steam, and it has a newly designed door handle on it. (The model at Sears was broken and I specifically asked about that.) — I had been using a GE washer from Sears that I bought 11 years…

I have had my Kenmore HE5t washer and dryer for a year now. I love the how effecient they are. I love how the Dryer has a sensored cycle, and stops after all of the clothes are dry, and if you are not available to get your clothes out right away, it will continue to tumble air dry them so they will not wrinkle by the time you have the chance to empty them. I have them stacked and I love the extra room it gives me in the laundry room. You can fit so many clothes into these units, which really cuts down on the amount of loads you have to do. I can…

too busy to make beds, picking up after pets
I just got this washing machine in January and it makes my work easier. I can fit so much in this washer it cuts my work load. The colors are stylish and it makes my washing room look modern and clean. I get so many compliments on the set. This machine is an energy efficient machine and it uses 70 percent less water, thus cutting down on your water bill. Also you only need to use a tablespoon of laundry soap so you save money at every place you can. The only negative thing I can say is that it spins so fast it shakes my…

i hate laundry, but i love this washer and dryer. we've had it for a year, and i've never treated a stain yet. we have a two year old son, and we've had no problems getting food, grit, and dirt out of his clothes. the washer spins the clothes so dry that the dryer is often finished before the washer...what a treat. it makes quick work of our big piles of…

appreciate reliability, budget conscious, married, not rich
This is a very good machine - you hould get the pedastal. I unfortunately did not so you still need to bend down to get stuff in the machine. I run a pet rescue so I put a lot of very dirty stuff in the machine and pack it pretty full. This machine can take a lickin and keep on tickin. Highly reccommend this machine - but again, you should get the…

I really like how well this washer cleans the clothes. The water usage is very little. I think about 4-5 gallons compared to 20 gallons! I don't like that you can't open the door to add something after it has filled and it takes 1 hour to run its cycle. I wash king size comforters and they come out nice and clean! I would recomend frount loading…

too busy to make beds, not very handy, messy
A lot of people find laundry to be a drag, and I'm not saying its exciting but it isnt as much of a drag as some of monotonous chores. I hate pulling weighed down comforters and soggy jeans out of a washer that opens on top. It seems so muc easier to put things in and out of the dryer, so it only makes sense that someone would finally make a washer with such amazing qualities. Like i said I am a sucker for easy, and it is so easy to just chuck stuff in there, turn it on abd be done! Well until its time to dry ;) —…

This front load washer is fantastic. I think it cleans whites better than my last top loader. I also think this washer helps with saving water since it uses less and does a better job than top loaders. It also uses less detergent. I have a drawer under mine and it is great for storing detergent and softner sheets etc.
— The only drawback that I can see is that you have to purchase "he" detergents. Although more companies are making detergents that you can use with these machines. —…
