I did a lot of research before purchasing the Kenmore Elite HE3t washing machine. I also talked to someone who owned one. Everything that I read and heard was that this was a fastatic machine. You don't often find people who are excited about a washing machine but after owning it I see why. Even though it's very expensive (we paid around 1200 for it) it's been well worth it. It's the best washing machine I've ever owned and I've had 3 of them.
The machine only uses a minimum amount of water (just what it needs to get the clothes clean) so you save on your water bill. You also don't have to guess...

Kenmore 4.0 cu ft front loader he3t -
recurrent computer board failures in 1st 3 years & rotten service by Sears.
Spent $500 trying to fix up only to be staring at another $600 that "might" fix it, after owning for 4 yrs.
Stay away from this poorly constructed machine.

I purchased my washer 5 years ago and I love it. The front loading option allows you save on water.
