Kenmore HE3T Washing Machine Review

I was so excited when my husband purchased me the Kenmore HE3T front loader washer and matching dryer.  We have always owned a Kenmore washer and dryer.  Only a couple of months after the purchase, we moved from Phoenix, AZ to Midland, TX.  The washer and dryer made the trip fine, but a couple of months after the move we noticed a funny smell in the laundry room.  We called Sears and the sent out a technician.  No small feat when you live in West Texas.  The guy came out and told me they need to replace the gasket and would have to order the part.  So, I waited and waited.  Finally the part came in and we set up another appointment.  He installed the part and left saying that should take care of the problem.  Three months later the smell was back.  This time they decided that it was the pump that was causing the smell.  Again, they ordered the part and scheduled a time to return.  I really had hope that this would fix the problem, because the pump smelled really bad when he removed it.  But alas, the smell returned.  This time I was told to leave the door open when I was finished with the washer, so that it could dry completely.  This helped a little, until our next move a year later to Corpus Christi, TX.  My husband had bought and extended service agreement and it was about to expire.  The smell had come back and I was determined to get Sears to fix this thing once and for all.  I had them come out three separate times and nothing they did worked.  I was told buy the last technician that I have to clean my washing machine with vinegar to get rid of the smell.  I was very upset.  I bought a washing machine to clean my families clothes, not a washing machine that would need to be washed.  Needless to say, I will never buy another thing from Sears.  They have lost my business for good.
