Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher —

Less than 2 years ago we remodeled our kitchen, when it came to appliances I did not hesitate to go to Sears and purchase Kenmore. A name and product that I trusted, up until most recently. We purchsed the Elite Brand of Kenmore Stainless Steel Appliances, including a Side by Side Refrigerator/Freezer with builtin Water Filteration; a Stainless Steel Ultra Wash Quiet Guard Deluxe Dishwasher, Kenmore Elite Stainless Steel Microwave and almost a stove. My story began when they delivered the first of 5 five stoves, the bottom drawer of the warming oven would not close properly and they all came with scratches and dents, but they were only on the sides. It actually began to be somewhat commical, even the delivery guys began to say this one isn't right either. After 5 attempts, we cancelled the stove. This should have shook my confidence in the Kenmore name, but I paid no mind, I loved my Kenmore appliances, even though my stove ended up a Professional Series Frigidaire, as Sears could not find a replacements without defects. The next item on the agenda was our Kenmore Elite Microwave which had to be replaced twice due to the door not shutting properly and the seal in the glass being broken. Still, I was not about to listen to common sense, what's wrong with this picture??? Well life went on and it has been 1 year and less than 9 months, since we spent in excess of $5,000.00 on our new Kenmore appliances from Sears, I'm sorry to say we did not feel at the time of purchase it would be necessary to spend another $1000.00 plus on extended warranties-after all we spent 5000.00 plus on appliances, what could possibly go wrong with top of the line appliances, it was only my husband and I in the home, what fools we were. 2 weeks ago the thermostat on the Kenmore Refrigerator went out and a few days later the Water Pump on our wonderful Kenmore diswasher went out. I did call Sears and Kenmore, they were sorry I choose not to purchase the extended warranty and the repair call would be a minimum service call of $129.99 per appliance, plus parts and lobor. Neither the Sears end of Kenmore or the Kenmore end of Sears feels the least bit committed to making right what I feel as a consumer, very cheated and disappointed in the response from two companies I thought might care. Buyer Be Ware-It's all about the money, not the quality in a product, not the workmanship and certainly not the consumer. Today I learned Sears and Kenmore have joined the higher ranks, although they offered to send me a $25.00 Sears gift card for my inconvenience, the person on the phone was very sweet and completely embarased at what she offered, she appologized for the insult to injury. I hope their CEO's are happy because as a consuner I hope to share and spread this story as far and wide as possible. AS FOR ME AND MY FAMILY WE WILL NEVER SHOP OR PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS FROM SEARS, KENMORE OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATE STORES AGAIN, I WAS ACTUALLY APPROACHING 50 YEARS OF SHOPPING WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS REPUTABLE AMERICAN COMPANY, I GUESS THEY ONLY USE TO BE. To all my fellow consumers please feel free to cut and paste my story on any blog, twitter, facebook, retail or consumer sight you have access to, Sears and Kenmore need the publicity and I as a consurmer, with your help, want to give them all they deserve!
