Kenmore Elite Trio —

This Refrigerator is awesome!  It's so roomy, I can't find enough Stuff at one time to put into it!  I love the deep adjustable shelving on the doors and the automatic icemaker and deep wells in the freezer compartment and the crisper drawers seem to me to keep all of my veggies and fruits fresher longer than usual.  I'm so glad that I purchased it.  Now I have to start having some dinner parties just to fill it completely.  Again, Awesome Appliance.

I cannot recommend this refrigerator. We have had it less than 3 years and have had a few minor problems until now. The interior light won't shut off, causing excessive heat (food loss) and melting of the top surface and plastic pan that protects the bulbs and wiring. Sears tells me that if it not repairable they will give me $500 (minus the $250 I've spent) toward a new one. Think I can replace this for $250? Plus the purchase is only good at Sears so basically they make money on me all over again!

I would not recommend this refrigerator.
If you do a search on Kenmore Elite Trio you will see it has a history of mechanical problems. And what's worse is the lack of service you receive from Sears.

Hi Neecay, my new Kenmore Elite Trio is arriving tomorrow and I can't wait. I also had the thought that there is so much room that I may never fill it up to capacity. One feature that I would like to see added to this model is a retractable shelf. Other french door units have not only the split side by side shelves but one side actually retracts front to back so you can place tall wide items like a 2 liter soda bottle on a shelf.

Isn't it nice to have the refrigerator up on the top?
