Kenmore Elite Refrigerator —
I love my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. It is a 26 cu.ft. side-by-side, with a brushed stainless steel front, black handles and trim and a black metal casing. It is very attractive in my kitchen which has all Kenmore appliances, also brushed stainless fronts.
One thing I especially like is the size of the freezer compartment. It is particularly large because the icecube-maker is located in the door so that it doesn't take up rack storage space. I have been able to store anything from a 22-lb turkey to a large pizza from Sam's Club (bigger than most in the box) in the freezer without any difficulty. I have 4 boys so I shop at the discount stores and require lots of freezer space and this baby has it.
Because I am a bit of a neat freak, I have to have a refrigerator that I can keep clean...not only looking clean but smelling clean. I have owned this one for over 2 years and it still smells like new and clean it is a breeze. Even my 18 year old son can clean it and do a good job!
I have had the icecube maker break once but since I had the Sears extended warranty, it was fixed without any problems and works like new, cranking out ice, able to keep up with not only my family of soda-drinkers but all their friends as well.
Lastly, the filter in the bottom front of the frig is easy to get to and replace. The indicator inside the freezer tells you when you need to replace it. No problem with finding them in stock at the local Sears store.
Looking at all the new refrigerators that are out on the market today, I still like mine best! It is really nice not to have "refrigerator envy"!
