Sears is terrible! We purchased warranties on several appliances from them. When calling the service department, be prepared to be on hold for awhile and to deal with incompetence. The latest item is a Kenmore Elite Chest Freezer. We have had nothing but problems with this item. The alarm continually goes off on it, and when a service technician is called out, the tech is absolutely useless. There was obviously something wrong with this freezer, but he claimed that there was nothing wrong with it. Now that the freezer is not working at all, everything inside of it is rotten. This time when calling the service / warranty department, the customer service rep hung up on us while trying to schedule a service appointment. We had been on hold for 25 minutes and had to call back again only to be on hold again for 15 minutes before a service rep answered and told us to call back in an hour. This is terrible customer serivce and we will not ever purchase one more thing from Sears, not even a bucket of paint.
