We've had our Kenmore Elite Dishwasher for about 3 years and couldn't be happier! This is the 3rd dishwasher we've had in our household and it is by far the best we've purchased. The quietness of the dishwasher is one of the features that has impressed us most. Our house is fairly small with an open concept, so while sitting in the living room you definitely hear what's going on in the kitchen. Previous dishwashers we owned were much louder. We made a point to turn them on before going to bed so we didn't have to hear the noise while spending time relaxing after dinner. However, with the Kenmore Elite that is not a problem at all. We load and start our dishwasher right after our evening meal and than go on with our activities and really don't even notice the dishwasher is running. This dishwasher also cleans very well - we usually use the SmartWash feature that detects how dirty your dishes are and then washes accordingly. Dishes are always clean - no problems whatsoever. We also really like the stainless steel interior. The only thing I would change about the dishwasher are the bottom racks. I wish they were adjustable. Once in a while I'll have certain dishes that just don't fit the racks the way I'd prefer. Overall, this is by far the best dishwasher we have owned - reasonably priced and a great value! We'll definitely purchase more Kenmore appliances in the future.

Had the dishwasher less than a year and we just called for our third repair appointment. The first leak was so bad it warped our floorboards. I caught this one early but the water is still in our basement. It took about a month for the first one to get fixed. Dreading to find out what this one will be. The last repairman could only tell us to buy the extended warranty plan because, and I quote, "You'll be seeing more of me." Learn from our mistake. RUN AWAY from this Kenmore!

The pros include that it is quiet and we run it while we are asleep. It cleans okay. We rinse before we load. I wish there was more choice of configurations for our dishes. I wish there werent so many pastic pieces and parts. For the money, this dish washer will do the job for you. Some of the option functions on this particular dish washer which I thouroughly appreciate are: the Water Miser key function and the Air Dry Only key function. I continuously set the Water Miser function and i have noticed a drop in my water use bill. Why waste money and precious water resources? Still my dishes come out beautifully clean even with the Water Miser function turned on. The Air Dry Only function is also appreciated. I continuously set it to Air Dry Only to again preserve natural resources. An added bonus benefit that I noticed is that my energy bill has dropped. So it is win-win. Thank you for giving your machine those added option function keys.

This dishwasher has been working great for us since we moved in. It has lots of room for various sized dishes and I am able to fit two days worth of dishes for my family of 4 into it. There are several options for washing, so you can choose longer or shorter cycles depending on the type of dishes you are washing. My favorite feature it the no heat dry option which I always use. It helps save money by just opening the door and letting the dishes air dry. It is very efficient and powerful and removes, food from dishes even if I don't scrub them completely first. It is also very quiet when it runs which is nice since my kitchen is right next to the family room. This is a great dishwasher from a great brand!

We purchased this dishwasher around 2 years ago (to replace what we called "the loudest dishwasher in the world). While the Kenmore Elite is not as quiet as some, it was definitely a vast improvement. Most importantly, our dishes actually get clean - no more stuck on food, not too much cloudiness, and a very good (and VERY hot) sanitizing cycle. We have not had too much trouble with clogging at the base, and are overall very glad that we made this purchase. So, if you are looking for a good dishwasher that does the job, this is a really good option. It may not be the quietest or the most beautiful, but at least your dishes are clean! :)

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever had experience with. Isn't the purpose of a dishwasher to wash the dishes? I should not have to wash my dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. The spinner in the bottom hardly works at all. It does not clean the top rack dishes. Drying the dishes? What is that? The dishes are so wet I have to dry them when removing them from the dishwasher. I have had my dishwasher for less than 6 years and now it does not work at all. The rotating spinner falls off when the water turns on. This is the worst dishwasher ever!! I was so happy to be able to review this product since it replaced our 16 year old appliance when it died on us. I am always one who use to think that spending more money meant better quality, but have found that is not always the case. In this case, especially! This product comes at a very reasonable price and I am amazed at the quality. It contains a sleek look and comes in a variety of finishes if you should desire another color. The buttons are easy to use and the user guide is clear and thorough and can help the owner answer any additional questions they might have. Install is a cinch should you decide to do it yourself or a professional can do it for you in a jiffy. Set up is easy and in no time you can start using this product as intended. It is just roomy enough to efficiently get the job done and in a reasonable amount of time. It seems to require very little resources and energy as well which is a huge bonus. It does not seem to require a lot of power, either electrical or man power. It is quiet, operating softly and without making a great deal of noise which is a big bonus for us as well. It has several features so you get the job done exactly the way you want to and in the amount of time you wish. This is a great feature to have and makes the experience very customized. The cost is comparable to that of other systems and yet it seems to provide exceptional service! I would recommend this product to anyone who is budget concerned, concerned about the planet, about resources, about using less power, and about being able to complete the task at hand at ease. You will find that it is user friendly and really pro household so anyone in the house can use it with ease. The user guide is so simple to understand and comprehend so any issues can always be addressed there first although we have not needed to do that yet. The product measurements seemed to be exact and we did not have any issues there. A separate warrenty was offered although we opted to not take advantage of it, however other people might wish to based on their own needs and uses. I would say overall our experience with this purchase was a positive one and one that we are so very pleased that we were able to take advantage of in our home. The simplicity and power it has has helped us on a daily basis in our home and that is what we expected from this product. My only suggestion for improvement would be that it have a few more features of course, and that the handle was easier on my hands as it gets quite slippery when wet, making it tricky to open and close. Aside from these two small issues, we are quite pleased and do not regret this purchase. So far so good, and we are hoping it lasts at least sixteen years as our last one did. If so, I feel like we will have really obtained some excellent value with this product and gotten our hard earned money's worth.

We bought this dishwasher when my old one finally died. It has been here when we moved in, and I wasn't too fond of it, so I can't say I was too upset. Anyways. We went out right away to look at new dishwashers because, I'll admit, I am lazy and the last thing I wanted to do was start hand washing a bunch of dishes. And my daughter was still an infant so we had a lot of baby type stuff that would need washed and sterilized. I definitely wanted a black dishwasher this time to match our new fridge and stove which were black. I was pleased this one came in black and also had rather good reviews. It has many options to choose from for washing and drying including smartwash. Plenty of rack space. Easy push button options. And it is really quiet. I mean, you can hear it, but it's not by any means loud. We have had this dishwasher for 2 years now and have no issues with it at all. My daughter has stood on the door when it was opened, and messed with the buttons and everything is holding up great. My son has a habit of putting dishes in their with food still over them (especially spoons), but everything comes out nice and clean. Even spoons caked with peanut butter come out clean and there is no residue stuff to anything else. I would highly recommend this dishwasher. Decently priced, long lasting, and durable. You can't beat it. Noise Level You can hear it running, but it is rather quiet.
