My husband and I had this dishwasher installed as part of a kitchen renovation in August 2013. After over a year of use, I would choose this dishwasher again, with a few minor complaints. Overall, the dishwasher is easy to load and unload. It has more than enough space for our household and we eat out very rarely (once or twice per month only). Therefore it likely sees more use than the average household. It cleans the dishes effectively and we very rarely see food residue or cloudy glassware after the dishwasher has been run. We do have very hard water (a well) so we do use a rinse agent on a regular basis. This is sufficient to deal with hard water residue and we have not had any additional issues as a result. My two minor complaints: First, the dishwasher is a little noisier than I had expected. I do understand that this is the nature of the beast and to counter it we typically run the cycle on a delay to start at night, after the household is in bed. Second, the door does not click closed without a bit of force. After setting it to run on several occasions only to wake up to dirty dishes, we mostly deal with this by pressing very intentionally when we close the door. It's not a deal breaker, but I have used other dishwashers in the past where this has not been as issue. Design Again - the door closing issue is less than ideal.

Very quiet. The only good point. Got this machine less than 2 yrs ago and had nothing but problems. First pump had to be changed when the machine was only 10 mths old as it stopped working. Then control panel had to be fixed as it did not work again 6 mths later. 3 mths after that wheels in the lower basket were broken so it had to be changed... Now I am waiting for a service man as it seems that pump broke as my kitchen and basement got flooded and the controls are off... Do not waste your money!!! Piece of crap... I do not recommend this machine, hope that it will finally be replaced Cleaning Time Close to 3 hrs on smart wash he... Not so efficient Performance Poor does not clean 100% food particle always stack to plates even though we always rinse everything. The control panel is very sensitive if you touch the controls even while standing by it with your butt the machine will turn on... Always had to remember to have it locked

I purchased this dishwasher two years go. It is well insulated and very quiet. The stainless steel interior is beautiful. I still have to rinse the dishes though if I am not going to run it right away. One thing that irritates me (with all appliances not just this one) is the poor integrity of the plastic parts. I wasn't sure I had filled the soap container so I popped it open to check and the plastic latch broke off. Now the dispenser will not close and I will have to pay a repairman to come and fix it. Just use paper towels along with your favorite cleaner and wipe the front of the dishwasher about every ten days and your done. Durability The durability of the Kenmore Dishwasher is very good. No rusting inside. The coating for the racks are wonderful.

This Kenmore is a good, reliable, durable dish washer. It's the kind of dish washer that was here when we moved to this house. Completely brand new& never used. It's almost a year old now & no problems so far. It definitely doesn't have lots of the gizmos & gadgets that some other fancier washers have. It's very basic. But, it takes care of the job! I've never had any issues with it, no matter what load I run or what detergent I use. It's been very stable & durable. My favorite feature is the air dry button. You can save lots of money & energy letting your dishes just air dry. Other than that I usually use he regular wash cycle. Sometimes if things seem particularly dirty, I'll run a heavy wash cycle. About once a week maybe. And about once a week I try to run an empty load because I heard it can help clean the inners out & therefore extend washer life. So far it seems to really help. While it's not the fanciest washer on he market, it does it's job. If you're looking for a good, basic washer, this Kenmore will be great.

This dish washer is decent. It was the only choice and option we had due to moving into an apartment where we rent now. Our landlord chose these dishwashers. It does the job for cleaning our dishes except the really dirty dishes. I usually have to rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher; and even just doing that does not always clean the dishes as thoroughly as I would like. I have to put the dishwasher on the heavy cycle to really clean. Also I must often add extra detergent to each load. When loading the dishes, I have to load them carefully so that they do not block off the water ducts in the center at the bottom of the washer. It can make the process longer and more strategic. If I fail to load them in properly, all of the dishes will not get cleaning properly. I have used both liquid and dry detergents. Both work great with the machine. It take about an hour to clean and it can be very noisy.

We got our Kenmore Elite Built-in Dishwasher last month and it has been working very well so far. It was easy to install, looks great and has easy operation. It's a spacious dishwasher and it cleans dishes quite well. Greatest thing I love about this Kenmore is quiet operation. It works so silently and effectively you can't complain about it. Durability I don't think I can comment on durability after only one month's use.

This dishwasher has the look of sharp and classy. Easy to load and unload. Cleans well and has a nice quiet purr to the motor. Lots of different compartments to put dishes and silverware into. The length of time is good and dishes come out sparkling. The dishwasher works well on hard water and well water. The only issue that I seem to have is that when you stand in front of it and press with your body that the dishwasher starts. This is annoying when you are trying to work on the countertop. Otherwise the dishwasher is a great deal. The dishwasher is designed to clean sterilize and make doing dishes easy to do. It is designed for heavy loads and has a scrubbing jets that do a deep down cleaning. We are on well water and have a water softener and dishes come out clean and shiny. It is also pleasant to turn the dishwasher on and to not have to turn the Vimeo up on your television or your conversation tone. This dishwasher also has features that have compartments for bottles tops and smaller items for not losing small parts and having them melt in the bottom. The price point is an investment but the dishwasher is durable and should require little upkeep and repair. When you need a dishwasher that works well in all types of water this is the one for you!

I never thought of the differences in dishwashers before mine broke and I needed a new one. I didn't have a lot of money to spend so the more expensive LG models were not going to happen. Kenmore is a great standard level dishwasher. Noise Level I am very pleased with my dishwasher, however, I've heard my friends who is almost dead silent. Most of the major parts don't make noise, but when it's refilling or heating or whatever that one noise is, it gets kind of loud and then turns off with a "shhhunt!" Cleaning Time Has different options for cleaning based on what you're washing, and of course you can also decide to air dry instead of the heat dry. Loading Flexibility Loading flexibility is pretty good, but I don't really know how bad other dishwashers can be at it. Performance Gets the job done without a tremendous amount of rinsing beforehand. Every now and then a stuck noodle will hold on for dear life, but that's rare. For the most part this is an excellent dishwasher and a great buy for the money.

I have the Kenmore Elite Dishwasher and am proud of it. I have looked everywhere for a new dishwasher when ours broke down and found the Kenmore Elite to be economical and efficient. It cleans the dishes thoroughly and leaves them squeaky clean.Its easy to load and I put all my plastic wear on the top racks as also my delicate glass wear which it handles them beautifully. You have different settings if you have a real dirty load and cleaning time is all done within 30 minutes or less. Just put your favorite dishwasher soap in and set and go. It is also a quite machine you hardly know that it is running. If you have a large family or small this is a dishwasher for you it can handle all loads. It works also well if you have hard water like I do. They have different colors to choose from that will go with your other kitchen appliances. There were three colors white,black,and silver.
