I bought the Kenmore Elite 12541 toaster oven for a granddaughter that is going to college and wanted a simple inexpensive toaster oven that her roommates and her could use quickly and they could use  for all of those on the go moments in their lives. It preheats fast, is simple to use and fast. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it actually toasts in a flash and large enough for more than one to use at a time. I liked the modern look of this oven and its promise to heat up that I thought would be annoying but the girls said it was cool and wouldn't bother them.  The toaster is quick and even broils. The pre set settings and quickness is good but you may want to adjust the temperature to match the food being cooked.  For most of us we would want a full function oven and this one would not meet our expectations but For those that want a inexpensive simple to use toaster oven for non-cooks and for those on the go people I would recommend it.

I owned a black and decker oven as it was given to me as a wedding present . I really loved that oven we cooked almost anything in it even stuff you wouldnt dream of went in that thing, Boy for such a great toaster oven I had it was what the sales guy called ancient, I liked my oven because it was quiet and the walls did not get hot so I set out shopping. Now it was time for a new one, I had no idea that so many types styles and brands existed this to me was going to be a challenge. After looking around all day as one oven did this well another did this I thought I dont need all those features. At the one store we were dumbfounded she was trying to tell us about the oven and it toasted popcorn yup she actually made popcorn in it I had not exactly seen that done before and even the football gang who put anything in my toaster oven never did that,  So with alot of features thrown at me and I knew id probably never use half of them  I decided to try Kenmore out    When i brought my oven home it conviently sat in the same space where my older one had been. This toaster oven is silver with black and sleek and shiny. The toaster oven itself looks pretty on the outside       First of all let me say this toaster oven comes with special features and settings as well as programmed settings    To cook toast it took me a couple times to realise low is the way to go when making toast in this oven medium will actually burn the toast so you have to stand there and watch it while preparing it on medium    The oven heats and cooks food fast and it is energy efficient      When making garlic bread or pizza it is really quicker to use this toaster oven then to heat the oven   And for those who microwave your foods tastes better cooked in the toaster oven then it does in the microwave      When you purchase this be sure to try it   very covient when time is short     The only thing i find is the blue display ight is bright   I would recommend this oven its really easy to use and the inside cleans up easily      It would definatly make a great gift

I love my toaster oven.  Wish it didn't take up so much room on my kitchen counter, but that's ok.  It is worth the lost space!  I love to make open face cheese sandwiches, or ham and cheese.  I like to warm things up in this instead of a microwave.  It heats up quick and does the job of heating the food really pretty fast.  I think this is a lot easier than heating up the entire stove.  Must be a energy saver.

 I've had this over for over a two years now and I use it all the time. In a four person household, this over can replace your main oven for faster baking and significant energy savings. It's not just a toaster and pizza oven, I use it for virtually anything.The unit does not let you choose the cooking time or temperature. I realize some people complain about the lack of temperature controls. I was also disappointed about this as well at first and was thinking about returning it. But you do get temperature settings - 5 of them They are called bake, warm , pizza, broil, and toast. Just imagine each word representing a given temperature. This covers a temperature range from 200-450F.After one year of heavy use, the fan is getting a little bit louder - but that's a common problem with small fans. The fan does shut off automatically once the oven cools down. Don't unplug your oven until it cools down, this helps the toaster from overheating so this is essential. I do wish it came with a power switch - having to unplug it after each use is wearing out my outlet.  Overall if I had a chance to choose another toaster I would but for this price range it is an improvement or a place to start.

  Kenmore has come out with another awesome product! This company really knows what they are doing and they keep doing it wonderfully!     My regular oven broke down completely, except for the stove elements on the top and I had no idea how I was going to feed my family the meal I had planned for the evening which was, nothing fancy, just fish sticks, but we were hungry!!  So, I arranged all of the fish on the little tray that is in the toaster oven and hoped for the best.  It was great!  The fish turned out perfectly and crispy just as if I baked them in the regular sized oven!     I'm not in as much of a hurry to purchase a new oven yet, but since Thanksgiving is right around the corner I will have to!  I can't fit a nice sized turkey in the toaster oven!  But thanks to the Kenmore Elite 126401 Toaster Oven, I will be able to bake more than I thought I could without the use of my regular oven.  And food that is baked in this toaster oven is soooo much better than anything that the microwave alone can do.

i bought one of these toaster ovens when i worked at subway resteraunt over 2 years ago. as their toaster oven broke. I used it at work everyday on high for fast toasting of subs for customers. when theirs was repaired a week later i took the toaster oven home with me. my teenaged children have used our toaster oven nearly everyday since. we love it!

This Kenmore Elite Toaster Oven (model #126401) was a surprise gift to me from my husband. I had for several months expressed the desire for an alternative to cranking up our big gas oven every time I wanted to heat up something or bake dinner, especially on hot humid summer days! About a month ago he bought this oven (on sale! He didn't say how much he paid for it, but I believe it is a mid-priced model). It has several settings for toasting: light, medium, and dark, and I have found through trial and error that it toasts a little on the hot side. After a few pieces of burnt sourdough, I got the hang of it and just dialed it down to the lowest setting and it's fine. I just wish the heat settings were more accurate to begin with. So far I have used it mostly for rewarming frozen pizza slices, toasting bread, bagels and muffins, and cooking convenience foods like frozen entrees. It is so nice to keep the house cool by using this small version of my oven. I also appreciated the convenience of reheating appeitzers during a recent birthday party without waiting all that time for the big oven to heat up. This oven takes up little space on my countertop and is a good addition to my kitchen. I plan to use it a lot during the busy holiday season to come.
