Comments about Kenmore Elite 550 Series 3 Burner Dual Fuel Vermillion Red Gas Grill:
We have owned the Kenmore Elite 550 Series 3 Gas Burner Dual Fuel Vermillion Red Gas Grill for about a year. I would have to say that for the price, I am not very impressed. I purchased this grill after reading many, many reviews on just about every grill out there. I personally prefer a charcoal grill, but my husband insisted on a gas grill because they are cleaner. We each agree however that food on a charcoal grill definitely tastes much better than on a gas grill. Even he is convinced that our next grill, will in fact be, a charcoal burning grill. This grill does everything that it is expected to do, however I would expect it to be more sturdy. For such a large grill, it is pretty light, week, and is already starting to rust in some places. We have ours outside, as everyone else would, however it is not under any type of overhang. Thus, it is subject to all sorts of weather during the summertime when I do not cover it every day. It is covered now that it is winter but just having it outdoors in the summer has already made it show some wear and tear. It was not cheap, so I would expect and hope for better quality. I would not buy it again, specifically because I do not like the way food tastes when it is cooked on a grass grill. Also, I do not feel like it was a good use of my money.
