Great for basic sewing

Comments about Kenmore Drop-In Bobbin Sewing Machine:

This sewing machine is great for doing basic sewing. It makes good stitches and has a variety of decorative stitches to choose from, which is nice. It is easy to use and is quite intuitive. I would definitely recommend this machine to someone who wants to learn to sew.

Fabric Handling
This machine has a little bit of a difficult time sewing through thicker fabrics or multiple layers of fabric. However, that is not an issue the majority of the time. Also, it is not preferable for sewing something large for a quilt because there is not a a good place to put the excess fabric without it getting in the way of the needle.

Design
The design on this machine is, at least to me, rather intuitive.

Kenmore Sewing Machine 18221

Comments about Kenmore Drop-In Bobbin Sewing Machine:

I purchased this sewing machine, when it was on sale in Sears. I was pregnant andwanted to make curtains and sheets for the nursery and a diaper bag and diapers and other items for the new baby. It has definatly payed for itself. The machine is very user friendly; I haven't sewn with a machine since high-school and was able to get started quickly, even my husband who has never sewn with a machine before has managed to successfully make himself a fleecy GPS case. It provides 21 stitches (utility, stretch and decorative) with 74 functions, a one-step buttonhole system. All the functions are controlled with two slide bars and a twisty knob which is very easy to work. Overall this is an awesome low cost sewing.
