Though this dishwasher has many things I like about it, it lasted only 2 years and then required a new motor. This is completely unacceptable. In the old days, Kenmore was a reliable product but unfortunately no longer.

When we had to replace our dishwasher, we chose the Kenmore Ultra Wash and have not been disappointed. I can load it up and feel confident everything will come out sparkling clean, as well as run it for just a few big things and can expect it to do the same job. We are pleased with the low noise level and there are times I have to go check the lights to make sure that I remembered to push the start button to make sure it is running. The configuration of the racks and baskets have worked out perfectly for me. I especially love the knife basket that takes the sharp knives out of the silverware basket. In the past the sharp knives have, over time, eventually cut through the bottom. I no longer have that happening. I also know exactly where a clean knife is, if I need to take it out of the dishwasher, no searching and running the risk of poking myself. The Kenmore Ultra Wash looks as nice in my kitchen as it works so nicely. The Kenmore Elite has a smart wash cycle that saves both energy and water. I wouldn't hestiate for a minute if I had to buy another dishwasher, I'd go with the Kenmore Ultra Wash.

I have been very happy with my Kenmore Ultra Wash, model 665 dishwasher.  I have had the dishwasher for about 10 years and have had no real problems.  It does a great job cleaning the dishes.  I love the delayed start option.  You can have the dishwasher turn on 2, 4, or 6 hours later.  I love that feature because I can fill it, pit the soap in, and set it to turn.  Then I can wash the pots and pans, or maybe do a load of laundry and let the dishwasher run itself later.  I don't have to worry about turning it on.  We often program the dishwasher after dinner so it will run overnight.  We have had no problems that needed repair.  Once or twice something has gotten clogged which affected the final pumping, but that seemed to be something more with out plumbing that the dishwasher.  The miscellaneous basket which hangs from the top rack is easy to knock off.  You really have to be careful not to close the door it the top rack is not pushed in all the way, or you will knock the basket off.  My only other complaint at the moment is that the ends that hold the dishes in place on both racks are really starting to rust through, but it has been at least 10 years.  Oh, one last positive...no heat dry, I like that energy saving feature.
