Kenmore Black 30 in. Convertible Range Hood Model #52059 Review

Well, we purchased a new Kenmore Black Gas Range and we certainly couldn't just use our old yellowy looking range hood now could we?  It's like a domino effect.  While we were purchasing the gas range, we picked out the Kenmore Black 30 in. Convertible Range Hood Model #52059.  We purchased the hood for $113.99 about three years ago and we have not had any problems with it to date.

The Range Hood

According to the manufacturer, the patented air chamber design with axial blower reduces noise up to 40% over conventional hoods. There is an adjustable, rotary speed control. The larger filter area efficiently captures steam and odors. The dual 40 watt lamps increase light distribution, and the night-light feature adds safety. 200 CFM, 4.5 sones (vertical discharge).

My Experience 

Well, I don't know a whole lot about range hoods but I do know that it looks darn good and my husband was able to install it without a problem so installation was quite easy.  The fan is fairly quiet and there are three light settings which are convenient.  The fan control knob adjusts from lower to higher as you turn the knob. We have not had any problems with this range hood and it is effective at clearing the air of smoke and odors when on those rare occasions, I happen to burn something.  Ok, so maybe it's not so rare....   ;) 

My Final Viewpoint

After three years the Kenmore Black 30 in. Convertible Range Hood Model #52059 is still going strong.  It is a great little hood for the money and I would recommend it.  I am giving it a well deserved 5 star rating.
