My first microwave was purchased in 1978.  It was a Kenmore and it worked beautifully for 30 years!  The only thing I ever had to do was replace the light bulb.  When it finally quit working, of course I had to purchase a Kenmore.  I researched different models in Consumer Reports and they recommended this model.  No wonder why!  This microwave is easy to use and has many features that making cooking a breeze.  I especially like the defrost, melt, and soften features.  For example, when I touch "soften", the screen asks me what food and the quantity and then automatically comes on for that...

We had to purchase a new microwave after having the old one for 23 years.  We thought that the old one was the best thing in the world but the new Kenmore blows the old one out of the water. It is so easy to use with its multiple settings. It is much faster than the old one also.  It has auto settings for reheating different types of items; soups, sauces and vegetables.   It thaws food accurately without cooking the item around the edge.  I love the automatic popcorn setting I never have burnt popcorn now.  It has a built in kitchen timer which has come in handy on occasion.  This microwave...

My preference would have been to purchase a convection/microwave combination.  Due to cost this was not an option.  However, this Kenmore 1200 watts microwave with easy to use options provides consistent, high quality results - plus it's easy to clean.  I highly recommend the Kenmore Countertop Microwave Ovens.
