My parents moved into the home in August of 1984, appliances were provided. After my parents divorced, and my husband and I married, we bought the house from my dad shortly after. Once again the appliances that we're already here were Kenmore. So in 1996 when we decided to start updating appliances, one at a time for affordability of course. The range was my first choice. I was a stay at home mom back then and spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The glass cook tops seemed to be what everybody was buying, and I personally loved the idea. I mean come on no more little round drip pans to clean, YEAH!  After shopping around, I found what I liked at Sears and bought it. And yes it was also a Kenmore. Now after being around that avacado green one and still having the fridge at home, I couldn't pick out a white range. So I chose almond. Here it is now almost thirteen years later and the range runs like its brand new, cleans itself, and everything still in working order. Other then a few dings on the enamel paint job, due to no faults of the range, it looks and runs great. In fact when the range turned ten, my husband and I discussed buying a new one. Thinking of the few dollars it would save energy wise. But I couldn't find one I liked as well as this one, so we've decided to hold off til the range turns fifthteen
