I received this as a gift for my birthday in March, and by Thanksgiving, it was dead. Time to Heat It did seem to take a bit longer than all of my other crock pots I have had to warm up. Cooking Performance The first time I used it, it was awesome! I put a roast and veggies in before work and came home to a wonderful, easy meal! The second time I used it, I put in a corned beef and cabbage and came home to an uncooked hunk of meat floating in foamy, bloody water that had to be thrown away :( Ease of Cleaning The inside is extremely heavy and not suited for people with small hands. Ease of Use There is simply a dial on the front to control the temperature. The lid (including the knob on top) also got very hot which I was not expecting and required a pot holder just to take the lid off. Design It is really no different than any other crock pot design. The lid did not fit as snugly as other crock pots I have had in the past and there was more run over than I expected. Durability I only got one solid use out of it before it died :(

I recommend this product. I made BBQ ribs last night and they were fall off the bone tender. The BBQ sauce did not get all watered down and I was able to still use it as extra sauce for the ribs. I was able to put in 2 slabs and they cooked evenly. Time to Heat Does its job Cooking Performance Food cooked in the time expected

No matter what you want to cook, a little to a lot, this is the slow cooker for you! It cooks food evenly, and everything always comes out just right! I love my red color, as my whole kitchen is in red, so it fits in beautifully,but more than anything, I love the easy clean up of this unit. In no time at all, the unit is spic and span with no fuss...now, that's my kind of clean-up!!! I love this Kenmore 6-Quart slow cooker so much, I have put an extra one in my camper, and have given them out as gifts to family and friends, and they love them too they have said. I love the size and quality of this slow cooker. Others I have had in the past proved to be too small to be really versatile. I find this to be the perfect size for a variety of dishes! I have used it for everything from main dishes to soups and have never been dissatisfied with its performance on anything I have cooked. I own a smaller slow cooker that I enjoy, but there is a limitation to how much you can actually make in a batch. I picked this slow cooker up on sale and am in love. I love the oval shape, which makes it perfect for ribs, roasts and anything on the larger size. This is the perfect size to make soup for a family of four, plus have some left over to freeze. I find it very versatile since you can make a lot, or just a little- you have the option. The only problem (which isnt a problem for me) is that the insert is very heavy empty. So if you have to take it out or put it in filled, make sure you have the strength! Overall a great product, easy to use, reliable and produces great food! Cooking Performance Cooks even and quickly, even when on low. Love the keep warm feature too! Ease of Cleaning The insert is very heavy and a bit bulky, which can make moving to the sink and washing a bit of a challenge. Design I love the oval bowl- makes for easy cooking of large cuts of meat. Durability Ours is 3 years and counting...

I used to think crock pots were a thing of the past. You know, June Cleaver,The Brady Bunch,polyester suits. Well,what comes around goes around! My Kenmore 6 quart oval crock pot is a life saver. We all live such busy lives anymore and most of us don't have the luxury of spending hours in the kitchen cooking gourmet wholesome meals like our moms and grandmothers used to do in previous times. Well, reintroduce yourself to the crockpot! I especially love the size of my 6 quart model because I can cook just about anything in it. From whole large cuts of roasts,to stews,soups,even cooblers. That's right,you can even bake in this guy. And what's more rewarding than coming home to a pipping hot meal every evening that you didn't have to stand over the stove for hours to make. Its like magic!! I just prep mine in the morning with the appropriate ingredients,set the temperature control and the timer and waa laa, dinner is ready when I return home from work. The Kenmore 6 quart crockpot even comes with a recipe book which provides many mouth-watering recipes. I guess those guys from days gone by really did know what was up. How liberating!

I just love my crock pot, I use it for everything, it is great for a busy day just throw a roast in there with some carrots, onions, green peppers, and some potatoes and turn it on and in a few hours it is done and ready to eat.  I love to make barbeque pork sandwiches in it, I just throw in a roast and when its done just add some barbeque sauce and you have bbq pork sandwiches.  I also love to make a meatloaf in mine just make the meat loaf set it in there and in about 2 hours its don.  I also like the warming feature on it.  Sometimes I will make put something in there the night before and if i get up in the middle of the night i can turn it on warm and it will stay warm till the morning.  I sometimes make stuff for my kids lunches like that they would take pulled pork sandwiches or something for lunch they love it and so do I because I dont have to worry about wakeing up early in the morning and trying to get everyone ready and then having to make their lunches it is soooooo much more easier on me and my family and I am a single mom too that really makes it easier.  It is very easy to clean just use a scruby pad and it comes right off, I usually use it 3 to 4 times a week.  Very worth the money saves time and my kids like it when they can just go and get something to eat that is hot and delicious.

My Kenmore 6-quart slow cooker is the most valuable small appliance that I own.  I couldn't live without it, and if it ever breaks I will buy another one the very same day!  My cooker has three temperature settings - high, medium, and low, as well as a "keep warm" feature which is extremely helpful if you are gone all day at work.  It also has a timer that works as either a "countdown" timer, or a "countup" timer.  I can put food in the slow cooker in the morning before work, set the temperature and the timer, and when the timer goes off the cooker switches to the "keep warm" temperature until you turn it off.  This way food doesn't get overcooked, but is nice and warm and ready to eat when I get home from work.  With three children, a full-time job, and a husband who works the swing shift, this is the ONLY way that we are able to eat a home-cooked meal!  The convenience is key, but an added bonus is the money that I save by using simple ingredients rather than convenience food.
