I was disappointed with this mixer. I felt like I had no control as I use it. It does not have a low speed setting for stirring like my stand mixer had. It moves so fast that the food splashes out of the bowl. It did mix completely but it felt like I was getting a work out to complete the task. I have had hand mixers in the past but none acted like this even as a child using it. Also I have to ask my husband to remove the beaters for me because they are too difficult to remove. The only good this I can say about this mixer is it was inexpensive. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have found this product to be very convienent in using. You just tap the on button, and the mixing is perfect, and smoothe. The mixture such as cake mix becomes very smoothe, and tasty with this bmixer, and the end results is a tasty cake.

Even though I have a food processor, a blender and several stick blenders I always like to have a hand mixer with beaters for small jobs. Most of the time this gets used to make royal icing or mashed potatoes but there are times when it gets used to mix large batches of pancake or waffle mix. This is a basic five speed mixer; there are two metal beaters that get inserted into the front of it and are ejected with a push button so there's no chance of them just popping out when you are using it. It is light weight and not all that loud when it is on any of the speeds. When not in use it stands up perfectly but you are going to want to make sure you have something under the beaters in case it starts dripping. The beaters clean up easily with warm water and soap but they are dishwasher safe. The only con to this is that it gets dirty easily and if you try to wipe off cake frosting, gravy or anything else it tends to smear. If all you need is a hand mixer that will get used from time to time, this is an inexpensive option.

The kenmore brand is usually known for selling high quality products and stands behind them if something goes wrong. This was the exact opposite when I purchased the kenmore 5 speed hand mixer. I have a larger mixer that is also a kenmore brand mixer but wanted something for everyday use like mixing pancake batter or cakes. So when I went to the store and looked at it, it didn't seem too bad. I mean it wasn't the best one they had but for the price it seemed to be a pretty good deal. But as they say you get what you pay for. I was kind of pulled in by the five speeds because in the past with other mixers there were usually a couple and it didn't mix well. As I came to find out not only was it the same case with this one, but one of the beaters completely stopped spinning and I don't mean slowed down like just stopped moving. But the problem began the very first time I used it. I was making a cake for my mothers birthday and started out on the lowest speed, but that's not a low speed. The lowest speed was as fast as my high setting on my previous hand mixer. I was a little annoyed but dealt with it and just to see I changed the speed a few times from lowest to highest and it was absolutely ridiculous how fast it was mixing. If I didn't shut it off as fast as I did, I felt like it would have completely flown out of the mixer. I didn't use it for a little while and then maybe once or twice more after that because I absolutely needed to. That's when I learned the left beater would not move at all. I took it out looked inside and could not figure out what was wrong. Then went online to see since 2011, everyone else who had bought this had the same problem because the part making it rotate was plastic and pretty much a piece of garbage. When I called the store I purchased it from, they tried telling me they do not sell the part and to contact the manufacturer. Then I call kenmore for them to tell me a whole bunch of garbage and instructions on how to fix it and I didn't bother. It was so cheaply made I didn't want to even waste another minute figuring it out and went on to buy another brand. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Thankfully, I didn't spend much on this, because it didn't last long. I needed a small mixer for small jobs, like whipping whip cream and simple batters. Within a month of use--not much use--it begin to groan as if I was over tasking it. When I tried to mix a thicker dough, it froze completely. I've used a small mixer many times for the same task and never had this happen unless the mixer was well over 5 years old. It completely gave up after a couple of months--perhaps 15 uses. Not good. Mixing Performance The first speed is still too fast. The highest speed doesn't create enough umph to mix small amounts of dough. Ease of Cleaning It's very easy to clean. I cleaned mine with a damp cloth. I cleaned the beaters by soaking them in hot soapy water and swishing them around. Easy. Ease of Use It's easy to use. Just plug it in and use it. It just doesn't do much besides groan and stop. Design It really is nice looking for a small mixer. This is one of the reasons I bought it. It's light weight and clean looking. I would probably purchase it again if it was improved. Durability It didn't last very long. Perhaps the next version will.

If you are a beginning baker or someone who does not bake a lot this will be an okay product for you, but if you bake a lot you probably will not be a huge fan. The Kenmore 5-speed hand mixer is not very powerful, I find when I really need to mix something completely I have a hard time doing so. I often find myself having to go in with a spoon and mix it myself. Mixing Performance This hand mixer has five speeds, but even on speed five this mixer does not seem to be very powerful. Ease of Cleaning The metal whisks are somewhat hard to clean. Cookie dough often sticks on the inside and it is difficult to clean out, but this comes with any hand mixer. Ease of Use This product is as easy to use as any other brand of hand mixer, but if you do a lot of baking a stand mixer is a much easier option. Design The design of this product is comparable to most other basic hand mixers. Durability I have had mine a couple years now and it still works fine. Although I do not use it on a regular basis.

I am a huge fan of Kenmore products. To me they are evocative of quality, workmanship, dependable and hardworking. I expect a lot from my appliances and Kenmore never fails to deliver. This mixer is no different. Mixing Performance On the surface it may seem like any other mixer, but when you use it that first time you will know that it is something special. It has five speeds compared to the two that my old one had and a quick burst mode. It thoroughly blends whatever you're mixing and quickly too. I have a stand mixer as well, but it is so big and my counter top space is so limited that nine times out of ten I will reach for this mixer instead. It does exactly what I need it to. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning this is a snap. A quick wipe with a damp rag will remove anything from the mixer body and there is a release button to push the beaters out and straight into the sink for washing. Ease of Use It couldn't be any easier to use this. Pop the beaters in and turn it on. Then you're done. Design It is perfect in it's simple and classic design. Clean lines, buttons and switches are easy to reach and operate one handed. Exactly what you would expect from Kenmore. Durability These mixers are rugged and last forever. I just had to replace mine and the original was given to me about 15 years ago when I first got married. The old one still worked, I was just ready to get a new one and hand the old one down to my niece who is setting up house.

I do a lot of cooking from scratch and often find that I need to mix a small amount of ingredients but do not want to haul out my large stand mixer. I have owned several hand mixers over the years and am very impressed with the Kenmore 5-speed hand mixer. First, it is very easy to assemble and use. The beaters are easy to put in and it is very easy to operate the various speeds on this hand mixer. I find that this mixer is efficient and mixes ingredients very thoroughly. Overall, I am very impressed with this small kitchen appliance and would definitely recommend it to anyone who cooks on a regular basis. Mixing Performance The mixing performance on all five speeds is impressive and efficient. I find that each speed is helpful and works well. This Kenmore product is the most simple, yet effective hand mixer I have ever bought. It is able to help me mix up some great batters with no hassle at all. Not only that, but it has become a staple in my everyday baking. I just love it to death. Mixing Performance As I have mentioned before, this mixer is great at its job. There is no hassle when using it whatsoever. I use it to mix up batters, whipping creams, and icings. I don't usually stray away from desserts, but I'm sure you would have no problem using it for other purposes besides those mentioned.
