I had searched for months for a new washer. Price and value were my greatest concerns. I am presently unemployed and have very little income from unemployment insurance, so price was definitely a huge factor for me. I would have liked to have had more features, but at this time I can't afford them.

I purchased a Kenmore 400 top loading washing machine back in April 2009. I absolutely love it. Sears beat the prices of the competitors on all my appliance needs. At first, I didn't believe it could hold all that I needed to wash but it does. The capacity load is more than it first appears. It has good agitation action. Has a nice spin cycle. The clothes spin out really good for the last spin so that they aren't too wet for the dryer. The settings are perfect for what I need in my daily life. I don't need alot of bells and whistles, just a good basic washer - this fits the bill. ...

I purchased my Kenmore 400 series Top Loading Washer about 4 months ago. I have had no problems with it since. I compared all the similar washers and found that this one was definitely the best deal. The price was great, and it uses 50% less energy per year than the similar GE model! The fact that it uses so little energy is really what sold me! I'm trying to be more eco-conscious, but I can't afford to pay $2000 for an energy star washer. This one fit both my needs and my budget.

Kenmore Top-load washer is a keeper. I have had mine for eight years now and it still does the job just as well as the first day.The price was right then and it is worth the money. I am looking forward to many more years of use.
