Kenmore Progressive vacuums are well worth the money. This is the second I've purchased in the last 10 years. This vacuum is very reliable and easy to use. This newer model has a telescopic pole which is great when you want the kids and hubby to pitch in...anyone can use it! It has a light at the end of the pole which allows you to see in those dark hard to reach areas (like under the bed).
Here's what I like:
- Double Air Filtration (this has a filter inside by the canister bag and a HEPA filter at the bottom of the canister).
- Extra long cord that retracts.
- Good suction.
- Maintenance is minimal.
- Carry-on accessories easily accessible.
- Able to get to those hard to reach areas without too much of a struggle.
- Quiet when used properly.
- Easy to change parts as needed for draperies, sofas, etc.
- Picks up dog/cat hair very well.
Here's what I dislike:
- This canister vacuum is priced in the mid $400's when not on sale. A bit pricey for most people.
- Vacuum bags are a bit expensive. The Kenmore HEPA bags they sell are even more expensive but if you require the extra filtration for allergies, etc. they are worth the money.
Overall this cleaning buddy will be your best friend for cleaning rugs, bare floors, drapes, etc. And, at the end of it all, the canister bag is full of the dust/debris and not in the air.
