We bought this for our beach house. Correction, my husband bought it because the contractor got him a great deal. We have it in stainless. The ice dispenser dispenses most of the ice onto the floor no matter how you hold the cup against the lever. Then you get a nice cold foot bath when you go for the water as it, too, mostly runs down the side of the glass. There is only one lever for both ice and water, not two, so you must remember to push the correct electronic button which to my thinking is just going to burn out the electronics board that much quicker. And I think this single lever is probably why it dispenses so poorly. The area for ice/water cannot take a tall glass and no matter what kind of cup/glass I use, the ice and water go everywhere. The overfill is shallow and constantly has to be cleaned because the design is so bad. Of course, since it is stainless, the water marks show so we do a lot more wiping up of the floor and the refrigerator. I do like that if I want to scoop out ice, I do not have to remove the entire ice bucket. The water filter has been placed in an area of the fridge that is easier to get to. The shelves of both the fridge and freezer are cheaply made and minimally adjustable. I would not tolerate this machine in our first home and have complained about the ice/water issue to the point that we may sell this at the end of the season and buy another brand.
