The bobbin gets stuck way too often and has to be taken off and completly redone. I have tried using my own, my mothers, and my grandmothers and we have all had the same problem. The bobbin still gets stuck. We have tried using different brands of thread, different thicknesses of fabric, etc. Nothing…

Crafter
I am not a very experienced sewer but have used several different brands and models. The kenmore sewing machines hold up just as well as more expensive machines. The options are easy to use and manuel makes it very easy for the beginner. I have used the sewing machine mainly for crafting and scarpbooking. The sewing machine handels various types of materials well: lace, ribbion, multi layers of paper, different thickness of craft paper, card stock, fleece material, satins and cotton. — The Kenmore 15358 Sewing machine is easy to set up and get started with. It is basic enough for…

Crafter
I enjoyed using the Kenmore 15358 sewing machine. I knew Kenmore is known for their appliances, I had heard every little about their sewing machines. I am impressed. This machine has all the basics and a little more. It's very easy to use and understand. I think switching stitches is a snap. I have been able to teach novice sewers on the machine with little difficulty. Loading the bobbin is easy. Threading the machine is easy, the machine talks you through each step.It is great for every day sewing with regular weight material. I would not use it for sewing heavy weight material, like denim,…

Every day computer user, practical, into trying new things, love the older models of singer, looking for value, comfortable with technology, looking for durability, artistic
I found this sewing machine to be great for the average customer, and by that I mean someone who doesn't use the machine everyday for high volume products. Kenmore is a quality manufacturer, and it shows in the sewing machine. The one problem I had was that when I did start using it more often, the motor died on me. Otherwise, I found it easy to use and, more importantly, easy to change the thread, bobbin, etc., unlike other sewing machines I've…

cost-conscious, Homeowner, a pet owner, budget conscious, looking for durability, Quilter, creative, Crafter
While the name Kenmore implies a good product, I did not find this one to live up to it's name. The motor quit within two years. While it could be replaced, it would have cost more to have this done than to just go out and purchase a new machine. I often had difficulty with the thread bunching up when doing other stitch patterns aside from just a straight…

Crafter, creative, comfortable with technology, Every day computer user, impressed with this product, looking for durability, practical, willing to pay for quality
This machine was a gift to me and I use it quite a lot. I mend, sew garments and do some crafting and quilting. I love that mine is portable and I can store it easily. It sews nicely and I don't have problems with it skipping or tangling thread. It is easy to fill the bobbins and rethreading is easy but the eyes on the needles could be a little larger--I'm getting older!…

looking for durability, willing to pay for quality
This sewing machine is simple to operate. It is nothing I would purchase again. I would however recommend it to novice users. I am going to give it to a relative and purchase another brand with more features. I am a little more experience in sewing and would enjoy having more features to experiment with. I am pricing other top quality machines at the current…

Crafter, a green thumb
I am not a seamstress, I begged my husband for this sewing machine so that I could complete some crafting projects. This machine is perfect for the beginner, the manual was easy to read and understand and within minutes I was sewing happily away. I have also been inspired to create a baby quilt. I love this…
