OMG! How can you NOT love this cd? It's her best yet and the girl won 2 grammys from this cd! She proves that we chose the BEST American Idol and I only wish her the best and can't wait for whats to come!

I really love watching Kelly grow as an artist. There are so many songs on this album that are worth listening to. There are a few that are just ok, but most of the album is catchy in a non-annoying way.

A dark and gloomy Kelly Clarkson haunts this album

Bottom-Line: Lets hope Breakaway is a phase, and not the direction all of Kelly's music will take in the future.

There are two over-riding themes on Kelly Clarkson's 2004 album Breakaway: agonizing heartbreak and heavy metal, both of which should be taken in small doses. Now I like Kelly oh-so-cute Clarkson, and I love her voice, I just wish I could have heard more of it on this album. After listening to this album in its entirety I came away depressed and with a splitting head ache.

I don't usually like CDs and tend to download a single here or a couple songs there, but this CD has been great to have around. I take care of two little girls - ages six and nine - and they LOVE Kelly Clarkson. They always love to listen to this CD while we make dinner together or clean up their rooms. We sing along and dance around and have a great time with this CD. Some of the content of the lyrics is a little more depressing/angry than I was expecting, but luckily the girls are too young to know what Kelly's ranting on about, so we can just enjoy the funky beats and Kelly's incredible voice.... review »
