Few American Idol celebs have seen the success and won the praise as the original winner Kelly Clarkson can lay claim to. The community readily agrees that Clarkson’s third release My December, while dark and somewhat depressing, is probably her best album to date, with one reviewer stating that “Clarkson’s My December is one Depressing Listen,” while another exclaimed “[T]his album is my life in song.” Clarkson is widely praised for having written most of the (brooding) tracks on My December in her honest unpretentious manner.
