Yum! Tastes just like grandma's!!

5

We have used ***Kellogg's Stuffing Mix*** for years in our Thanksgiving turkeys.  What a great, simple way to make stuffing that tastes just like grandmother's!  It is also wonderful in baked stuffed pork chops or as a side dish to roast pork or chicken. Prepare it as a stove top dressing for a quick side dish, or bake it with your main course.  "Fancy it up" with the addition of mushrooms, oysters, nuts, or any other ingredient that you and your family love to find in your traditional bread stuffing.  It is so superior to Stove Top Stuffing.  Sadly, ***Kellogg's Stuffing Mix*** is becoming harder and harder to find.  Now the only grocery store in our area that carried it has gone out of business and although two other chains carry many Kellogg's products, they are unwilling to order the stuffing mix.  It seems that changing containers from boxes (which came in several sizes) to six-ounce bags and shortening the name from ***Kellogg's Croutettes and Stuffing Mix*** made the product invisible on grocery shelves.  And, since Kellogg's has failed to market it . . .   The last time I found it, I had to drive 50 miles to purchase it.  I bought all they had.  Now I've used it up and cannot find more.  Silently weeping.

Kellogg's stuffing mix is the one my family looks for on Holidays and for summer casseroles using fresh vegetables!! It was not until I found this stuffing mix that my children ( and myself ) became stuffing lovers. I need to make twice what I need because they eat the leftovers as stuffing sandwiches!! Summer squash and zucchini disappear when served in a casserole with trusty Kellogg's Stuffing Mix!! PLEASE bring it back!!!

Grandma in Florida

First of all, my mother never stuffed a turkey the entire time I lived at home. My mother in law always stuffed the turkey and my husbands family loved it. Once my mother in law passed away I was in charge of making the stuffing for Thanksgiving and I added more onions and more celery and used butter....yes butter. Some things require this. I'd mix it all up and put chicken stock on it to soften it up and stuff my bird. We have looked forward to having that stuffing for over 30 years. My husbands mother made it for probably 20 years before that. I think it's a shame that kelloggs has discontinued something that had become a staple in many a home for the holidays and throughout the year. I've looked everywhere and can't find it and am sorely dissappointed in the company. Please go to kellogg's website and tell them you want this product back. This is the one memory from my husbands childhood that I would like to preserve and we'd also like my granddaughter to be able to share in this holiday staple as well.

The ONLY stuffing mix we have used for generations!

5

This is the best for making stuffing, our family has past it down for generations, It's the only stuffing any of us and the children will eat. It is go good! There is nothing at all on the market that compares to it, and now you can't find it anywhere, so I called the company, they d/c it..."We are not a happy family about this"! It's going to ruin our holiday meals...everyone looks forward to the stuffing every year, and now I am in a rut! This sucks! I can't believe the company would do this at the holiday's, when people use it most!

Kellogg's "Croutettes" Stuffing Mix is/was a family tradition

This is the only thing I have used for over 45 years. Can't find it anymore, now I see it's discontinued!! Everyone always loves my stuffing. I followed the recipe on the back and it was so good. Maybe we can get kellogg to look at these notes. I used to buy lots at Thanksgiving so I would have it to last for the rest of the year (stuffed pork chops, stuffed baked chicken, and stuffed brisket). Has anyone found anything that comes anywhere close to it? Kathy

DISCONTINUED!?!?! WHAT?!!?

I just called Kellogg's and it was discontinued in September.  So... I dont  know what to do.  It just is not Thanksgiving without the stuffing and personally I dont think there are any as good as the Kellogg's brand was.  I am going to go online and write a letter to the company urging them to bring it back if not all the time, then at least for the holidays.   I know it wont happen this year... but maybe if we get enough people to write them...they will make it a seasonal item.  Anyone that could help, it would be appreciated.

Please bring back Kellogg's stuffing mix!

I have used this mix for years, and find it the best.  Suddenly, I was unable to find it in any local store.  My first thought was. "sure, I like it, it must be discontinued!"  And sure enough, it was! Maybe if enough consumers contact Kelloggs, they will reconsider.  Stove Top just doesn't cut it!!

Kellog's Stuffing Mix will be missed for a long time

5

This is the stuffing that we have used for the last 35 years or so.  It used to be called Kellog's Croutettes and then they switched it to Kellog's Stuffing Mix.  I didn't notice a major change when they made the switch.  It will be missed for a long time since it has been discontinued.  If anyone that has a package of it could list the ingredients I would appreciate it.  Kellog replied to me that they would not be bringing it back so I would like to know what spices were in it, if they are even listed. p.s. Stove Top sucks.  It has a strong funky taste.  Pepperidge Farms Herb Seasoned Stuffing is similar to Kellogs but not close enough to make me forget about it.

Please write Kellogg!

Like many of the posts, I agree that Kellogg's made the best stuffing ever.  I have won over many "non stuffing eaters" with this stuffing.  I've taken it to Thanksgiving luncheons at work and had multiple people rave about the dressing. Thanksgiving will never be the same now that it is discontinued.  Please write Kellogg's to bring this product back.  With a little marketing, it would run the other stuffings out of the stores.

Very sad that "Kellogg's stuffing" will NOT be in our Turkey

5

Every year, I try to make something on Thanksgiving that each guest feels is their favorite.  My son's favorite was always the stuffing.  I liked it because it did not overdose on the herbs.  I am not a big fan of Sage and it seemed to me mellow with the melted butter, onions & celery.  I had to pick up another brand this year.  (Went to 5 different stores looking for it).  Very sad to hear it is no longer being made.....
