Kellogg's - All Bran Crackers Multi-Grain Review

Fiber is very important, especially for someone like me who has a very high risk of getting type 2 diabeties.  I had gestational diabetes with all three children, and my doctor is certain that I will get type 2 diabetes, because of my past condition, and because it is very prevalent on both sides of my family. 

I am always looking out for high fiber snacks and foods.  As I walking through the cracker area at my grocery store the words All Bran caught my eye.  I stopped to look and I saw some crackers by Kellogs.  The crackers are called Kellog's All Bran Crackers Multi-Grain. I picked up the box and looked up the nutritional information.  Sure enough these crackers have 5 grams of fiber.  I also noticed that each serving was 130 calories and 6 grams of fat.  Although I was not all that pleased with the amount of fat, the carb content at 19 grams was not all that bad, and the 5 grams of fiber helped to decrease the carbohydrate points as descibed by my doctor.  The serving size is a generous 18 portion of 18 crackers.

I was also happy to see that the first ingredient is whole wheat flour. 

These crackers are located by the wheat thins.  They actually look a lot like wheat thins, they are just a bit darker in color due to the grains.

The All Bran Crackers Multi-Grain crackers come in a 10 oz box, and there are about 9 servings per box.  The cost is comparable to the price of Wheat Thins.

As for the taste, these are actually really good.  They taste a lot like wheat thins. there is a slighly grainier taste but it is really, slight and if my eyes were closed I probably would not know the difference between the two. 

If you like to snack on crackers and want to get some fiber out of the experience try Kellogs All Bran Crackers in the Multi-Grain flavor.  The really are pretty good tasting, and the 5 grams of fiber are wonderful.
