Ever since I was a little kid and in the Girl Scouts I loved Thin Mint cookies. My whole family is crazy for them and we crave them. My best friend loves them too and buys like 10 boxes and freezes them so she has some year round.
Well a few years back when telling someone else about my love for Thin Mints I was informed that Keebler makes a cookie that tastes just like them. So I ran (not literally) to the store and picked up a bag of Keebler Fudge Shoppe Grasshopper Cookies and lo and behold it's true! So while I still support the Scouts every year and buy a box or two of Thin Mints I no longer have to hoard those boxes or do without the rest of the year. Yay!
Grasshopper cookies look and taste just like Thin Mints; crispy cookie on the inside, minty chocolate on the outside. I buy them at my local Kroger or whatever grocery store I happen to be near when I get a craving. They're about $3 for a bag that has about 40 cookies inside so it's a pretty good value as well and not too horrible fat and calorie wise either. Four cookies are 140 calories with 7 grams of fat and contain no trans fat. Even though I have a huge sweet tooth, I'm totally satisfied with just 2 cookies as they are packed with flavor and minty goodness.
So next time you get a craving for Thin Mints and it's not cookie time, give Keebler Grasshoppers a try. I bet you won't notice any difference.
