I've tried out many websites for finding good travel deals, and kayak.com is definitely one of the best.  It searches almost all of the major airlines as well as the other discount websites (like expedia, travelocity, etc.)  An exception is southwest, which doesn't seem to show up most of the time.  Overall, though, I think it's the best, and easiest way to find a good deal.  Oh, and be sure to click all the way through to the real page - sometimes its actually cheaper than kayak lists on its search page (but usually its right on).
