Most HelpfulKay Jewelers is a store that I have used a number of times now, and with each purchase I used their web-site to do some extensive research on jewelry that I was interested in purchasing. I should point out ahead of time that I have not made a purchase using the site, but I have used the site for...

Most HelpfulI got the new open hearts Sterling Silver Ring for a Christmas Present. It was ordered after Christmas b/c the person that bought it for me asked what size I wanted it in and ordered it offline. Well when they went to pick it up the people in the store were rude b/c she bought it in the online. We ignored...
read full review »My fiancee and I took my engagement ring to Kay Jewelers (where he bought it) to have it cleaned and the setting fixed (it actually came crooked). We went to pick it up tonight and they pulled out the bag with our slip and the WRONG ring! They tried to give us the ring (a gold band--mine was not) and we immediately told them that was not our engagement ring. We were told, "these things happen". Then they called the repair shop and came and admitted our ring was lost. Yes they will replace it at "similar or equal value" if they don't find mine, but they can't replace the sentimental value....
read full review »We've had a horrible experience with Kay and it's still not over. we ordered my fiance's wedding ring there, after comparison shopping. We liked the guy we talked to and the prices were comparable. Big mistake. I called five days after the ring was supposed to have arrived, since we hadn't gotten a call. After not getting a call back, I had to call the next day again. Turns out, the manager had tried to order the ring we wanted, but found he couldn't get it from that company.... and never bothered to find a replacement or let us know something was wrong. My fiancee had to leave work...
read full review »My husband bought my engagement ring at Kay and when we wanted to have it engraved with our engagement date we had to have it sent back 3 times because every time they screwed it up! Then when they did engrave it correctly they thinned the band out so much that it was loose on my finger but I had to take it because at that point I needed it for our wedding day. So about a year later I went back because I was so sick of it being so thin and wanted to get the band thickened and they couldn't understand why. Some horrible woman with no personality kept saying it's supposed to be that way. Finally...
read full review »OK I used to love Kays...however that quickly changed rings and chains I have from there they are great not the best but I love them however the bracelet I got from there has fallen off 3 times because of the ****** lobster claw clasp which is supposed to be the best. They did however replace it but then the next one only 2 weeks old and the clasp broke..couldn't find it after I lost it..got no simpathy what so ever..they tried to say they didn't replace lost jewelry I was like what you replaced it once and it broke not even 2 weeks later and they said I should of got it repaired. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED...
read full review »I took a pair of brand new dangling, diamond and pearl, white gold earrings to Kay Jeweler to be set on simple wires so that they would hang a little lower. I purchased them specially for my wedding. I was pleased that the price to change the post to a wire was quite reasonable.
I was told that it would be about ten days and that I would receive a telephone call when they came back to the store from the jeweler. Several days passed, and I heard nothing so I decided to call them to find the status. They said the earrings had come back. The next day, I stopped into the store to pick them up. They...
I would never even think about stepping foot back in a Kay's or any other Jeweler they are associated with. We went through 2 sales staff and 1 manager before exiting the store. All three were very pushy (basically, banking on Commission), rude, and didn't care at all about the customer. I did NOT want to put the ring on my ring finger but they were forceful about me trying it on my ring finger. They tried to sign us up for a credit card when we didn't see anything we liked. Told the sales staff EXACTLY what I was looking for and they didn't show me it. She showed me a setting that wasn't...
read full review »The first time that i visited kay jewlers in the stonridge mall, located in pleasanton, ca. was one that i will never forget.
Now i am a 23 year old female that loves diamonds, but what feamle doesnt, but i am not made of money. I have bills and a full time job to pay for them, not to mention going to school full time, so the fact that i wanted to buy my mother a few frostings meant alot to me.
The women in this stor were absolutely amazing. The warm greeting that they showed me, the fact that they took their time with me about pricing and helped me pick out the perfect diamonds for my mom spoke...
read full review »I took my engagement ring and wedding band to the Christiansburg, VA location to have a small diamond replaced and the shanks on both rings fixed. I picked up the rings on 10/27/09 and payed a fee of $180. In less than 48 hours both shanks were bent far worse than before and three small diamonds were gone from the ring. I have been told that it will not be fixed under the 6 month warranty because it was not under normal wear and tear. I can assure you that I did nothing unusual in the 48 hours after receiving the rings. Your customer service person even accused me of "running over it...
