The bet cereal around

5

Amazing stuff. Feels great eating it. Way better than the kelloggs analog. Strawberries compliment the cereal nicely. A great addition to your morning. Low calorie and super filling. Eat the stuff all the time. Always love the kashi brand, this one is one of their best, though you cant go wrong with any of their stuff.

Flakes of Brick with Strange Red Chips...

2

Really, Kashi? I thought you could do better than this. Ever since my dreadful experience with a box of **Kashi's Strawberry Fields** cereal, I have been hesitant to purchase another product from this brand. Maybe that's not being lenient, but when you pour a box of cereal, it looks delicious and then you take a nice, expectant bite and are met with a loud, bitter, bone-snapping *crunch,* it isn't the most favorable experience in the world. It's like being scarred for life (okay, that's exaggerating a little!). The texture of Kashi's cereal is akin to chunks of bricks - it's uncomfortable to chew, even if you have teeth in mint-condition, and absolutely tasteless. Very few foods are 'tasteless' to me, but this is one of them. Since I prefer to eat my cereal dry with yogurt, etc. I like to have a good tasting, chewy but not kryptonite-crunchy cereal to give some texture to my breakfast, and this wasn't one of them. I was so thoroughly disappointed, that I just threw down my bowl and went to something else. Also, I'd like to ask Kashi - *where are the strawberries?* There's a distinct difference between real, freeze-dried strawberries and something that tastes like strawberries, but doesn't resemble a real one by any chance. Plus, they don't give you enough to give you a good sweet, tart sensation throughout your meal, and most of them are at the bottom of the bag. It almost leaves you feeling cheated out a little. However, if you like to give your jaw a good, long work-out, Kashi might be the cereal for you. While it wasn't difficult to eat, it wasn't the most comfortable either - I don't like eating something and you can hear me throughout the house. Plus, it's not the cheap, either, and honestly, I think Kashi could do so, so much better.

Lack of Berries

2

In my opinion, Strawberry Fields is a poor name for this cereal. Perhaps it should be renamed "Strawberry in a Field" or "Barren Strawberry Fields." Then at least you know what you are paying for. Now, it isn't that this cereal is really that bad, it just isn't advertised properly. The picture on the box shows more berries in a single spoonful than the amount contained in the entire bag. Strawberry Fields was mostly a overly-crunchy, gritty cereal with the occasional strawberry slice- probably one every 6 or 7 bites. And there were only two raspberries total. So yes, I do feel a bit ripped-off. Organic or not, Kashi can do much better than this, and I am thoroughly disappointed with the brand. Take my advice- if you're looking for a truly berry-filled cereal, go with Special K red berries. It has more fiber too, and I find it a lot more satisfying! PS - After reading several reviews of this cereal, I realized that it used to be a whole lot better than it is now. The amount of berries has "drastically decreased," according to many recent reviewers. That is why it has such a high rating despite its poor quality.

Kashi Strawberry Fields is my favorite

I love this ceral. Kashi Strawberry Fields tastes great and doesn't get soggy as quickly as Special K redberry ceral does. It is an organic ceral and doeasn't have any of the "bad" ingredients that other cerals have. It is more expensive but everything that is good for us is. If we want to live healthier, we need to eat healthier and eating this ceral accomplishes just that. Even though it is organic it does not taste like cardboard. The flavor is wonderful and I love the strawberries and rasberries. I wish Kashi would make a chocolate, banana/walnut and a cinnamon/pecan flavor ceral like Special K does. I also wish it wasn't as expensive. Kashi does offer coupons on their website or is your get lucky you can find it on sale but all in all it is a flavorful ceral and it is good for you.

Love it!

I love just about every Kashi product I have tried. This cereal is very good. I was buying Kelloggs Special K Red Berries so when I saw something similar that Kashi made I bought it. Publix had it on sale plus I had coupons so I practically got it for free which made trying it even better and I was very pleased with the texture and flavor. I like to add fresh blueberries and strawberries and I use vanilla almond milk and its prefect for a late night snack when I want something sweet.

Strawberry Fields Forever

If you love the added dried strawberry cereal you will love this one! I love when I have a box of this stuff in the house..although it does not last very long!! Darn kids!!! I like how this cereal is crunchy even when the milk hits it! I also like the fact that it is healthy..no sugary crap for you to worry about or many calories to count! Eat away! I would compare this to the kelloggs strawberry cereal and say that it does hold its crunchiness a lot longer in milk than the Kelloggs cereal seems to do. However you can usually find the Kelloggs cereal on sale at cheaper, reasonable prices..usually they will do a buy one get one free type of sale at the grocery store I use, and Kelloggs will be easier to fins a coupon on than Kashi will be. so really it depends on your priorities in cereal..do you want crunchiness and flavor or reasonably priced "similar" cereal? I do love the name of the product and pause to wonder its source...

kashi strawberry fields

mmmm... this is a really good cereal. it reminds me of the special k brand of cereal. i feel more comfortable eating this brand of cereal because i view kashi as a healthy brand even moreso than special k. this may or may no be correct. special k can be pricey as can this cereal be but if they are both listed at the same price i would choose this one. like always i am more likely to buy this brand if i have a coupon and i can combine that coupon with a sale that is going on at the grocery store or drug store at which i normally shop. i love the strawberries and the sweetnes is just right. i consider myself a sweet-aholic so this is great for a snack and i feel less guilty for having eaten it compared to a candy bar or something. i guess just my main complaint is that the price compared to other unhealthy cereal seems to be a bit more. i like the flakes better than their other kinds this makes the cereal more pleasurable to eat.

Kashi Organic Strawberry Fields in super crunchy!

4

This is definitely one of my favorite organic cereals. I do wish it had a little more fiber like Kashi's other organic cereals however when it comes to taste, it is delicious! I love how it is sooo super crunchy! I have yet to find another cereal as crunchy as this one ... organic or not. And it lasts a very long time crunchy even in cold milk. Yes, even to my last bite, I feel it is JUSt as crunchy in the end as it was to begin with! I love the freeze dried strawberries, I love all the organic natural ingredients within this cereal. Honestly, I just wish it were not so expensive and for such a little box. If I am looking to eat this for a week every morning, I would need to get at least two boxes. There is not much cereal. I wish Kashi made larger boxes or family sixed boxes, Maybe they fear the boxes would be too big and too expensive other people would not buy it? I dont know. Anyhow, totally delicious! IT is cereals like this that make me feel eating organic cereals that are better for your health a delight rather than a chore and torture. ;o)

My Kids love this!

I want to feed my family more healthy choices and this fits the bill. My kids love the little strawberries and I love the fact it is better for you. Kashi has a great reputation for providing nutrious choices. The price is a bit expensive, even at Walmart. I will still buy it as a treat, but not an every day option.
