I'm not a big cereal eater, but my local supermarket recently had a sale on Kashi Go Lean Crunch and I decided I'd try it. I've had other Kashi products before and enjoyed many of them, so I had high hopes for this cereal.
I wasn't disappointed!
While a bit on the pricey side if you don't happen to catch it on sale, Kashi Go Lean tastes great. I added a handful of raspberries to my bowl for an even sweeter kick, and I imagine other berries would work just as well. Even without the added sweetness of the fruit, however, this cereal packs a pretty tasty punch. In fact, the only reason I'm giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a wee bit high in sugar.
However, I think the higher sugar content balances out well because it's also jam packed with 8 grams of fiber and 9 grams of protein per serving. That's a lot more than most other commercial cereals and it kept me full until lunchtime.
If you're looking for a healthy alternative to other cereals and manage to snag a box on sale, I highly recommend Kashi Go Lean Crunch Cereal. Whether eaten with fruit, alone or right out of the box, this tasty cereal works well for breakfast time or anytime.
