If you are interested in going back to school and you really don't have the time because you are a full time mom, full time employee then this is the University for you. I am a full time mom that has 2 children and I am married. I am sure that I know what you are going to say. 2 children isn't that hard. Well that is where you are wrong. My youngest has spina bifida and she needs my attention all the time.
I decided that I was going to go back to school since I couldn't work. I checked in to local colleges and then I came across an add for Kaplan. I requested the free information and was amazed at everything they had told me. I was told that I could have my associates in 22 months. It is more like you can work at your pace. You have deadlines as to when it is supposed to be finished but you are being harped on to finish something in one day. You do 2 courses in a 10 week term. So for an Associates Degree you need 90 Credits. The University is very understanding when it comes to when and if you need to take a term off.
I have not received my Associates yet due to that I had to take 3 terms off as my daughter was in and out of the hospital in another City so I was driving back and forth. I know that if I would of had a laptop at the time I would of been able to keep up with my school work. That is another thing that I like about this university. I get to be on my computer. I love my computer, using my Microsoft Office on a daily basis. I have really learned a lot about my excel while going here also because with taking the Accounting classes you have to use excel for you homework (they call them projects).
I am really excited about graduation also. In August 2007 the Graduation was in Chicago. In 2009 the Graduation Ceremony will be in FLORIDA!!! Kaplan is based out of Florida, and Iowa. I hope that I have given you what you wanted to hear. I am so happy to be going to this University, and if you want to go after your associates, bachelor's, or you masters this is the university to check into.
