Reviewers say that this plan is convenient and cheap and it provides a means for calling friends and loved ones when an emergency arises or there is some other important need to make a phone call. The Kajeet Phone Plan is “Convenient and Cheap for the Phone that Doesn’t Get Used Every Day”, and “The Best Phone System to Care for Your Children”. Not all reviewers love the Kajeet Phone Plan, and some of the drawbacks include its cost per minute and its sometimes deceptive advertising. But the Kajeet Phone Plan is still a good plan, and it ranks a good Communication device for those who don’t need the extra minutes offered by other calling plans.

I wish we had gotten a kajeet for my teenager before adding him onto our family plan! Unfortunately, we hadn't even heard of kajeet at the time. Now, we are stuck in a contract. :-(
We added our two younger sons onto kajeet (ages 9 and 11). I LOVE everything kajeet offers us as parents. We have totall control. I love how I can set the phones to only accept calls from us or grandma. Of course, I've added friends too, but they are restricted to certain hours of the day. Kajeet offers a great service to parents that want to keep in touch with their children. You can manage everything online or on the phone if you prefer. You are able to manage their contact list completely. You can add contacts to their list, plus you can prevent them from calling certain contacts. Kajeets advertising is plain and easily understood. With anything else you have to do much research reading many reviews and continue to monitor the phone plans and usage after the phone is installed.
I read many reviews and also noticed that the CEO Mr. Dan Neal did respond to negative ones. Dan seems pretty proactive.
Purchased the phone on Amazon whereby it was on sale, plus you get a rebate for more than the cost of the phone after about 6 months. Seemed fair.

This phone plan was created for kids. After realizing that the service, even with the daily charge and per minute costs, is by far, much cheaper than the other service plans we switched. We don't use our phones every day, but it's important to us that we have a phone "just incase". With five children, there's always something that is going to pop up.
You can download and play fun games, music, access the internet and take pictures/video.

Product doesn'twork as described. Parental controls are flaky. GPS rarely worked. Customer service is non-existent.
