Kajeets advertising is plain and easily understood. With anything else you have to do much research reading many reviews and continue to monitor the phone plans and usage after the phone is installed.
I read many reviews and also noticed that the CEO Mr. Dan Neal did respond to negative ones. Dan seems pretty proactive.
Purchased the phone on Amazon whereby it was on sale, plus you get a rebate for more than the cost of the phone after about 6 months. Seemed fair.
Phone easily set up. The manual is very informative. No problem with initial weekend asking Kajeet Care support with a few basic questions.
Dont bother with emailing your question --- ever. The team doesnt seem to really read your question, and because of that- gives you absolutely nothing new as far as an answer. If you are blunt enough- you will get a second response- mainly to call Kajeet care. Note that this is simply my opinion-- possibly some yes or no answers can be asked this way. My questions pertained to the following below:
I am confused on how they tabulate minutes. What I total is not what the talk plan shows. Each Incoming and Outgoing call is given in table format. Also I have had a problem with the phone not automatically replenishing what is called a wallet (parent wallet, kids wallet) My parent wallet didnt replenish until I forced it to-- and that was only testing -- I really didnt need to replenish it.
When transferring wallet bucks from parent to child (if you so desire) I noticed that the money in dollars and cents doesnt add up. Kajeet Care just says "oh its off a penny". OK, how many customers are off a penny and how much does that add up to for Kajeet???"
I am still in the process of monitoring the phone online since I am new to how it works and like anything else you may make changes. In the meantime- since I told the CEO Mr. Dan Neal that I would never have my daughter be allowed to text- he hasnt responded to me since. Sorry your were disgruntled Dan. Thanks for your initial help .
Will provide updates as I get to know the phone more. So far my daughter feels really comfortable with it-- thanks Dan.
