I saw an advertisement for the Never Scrub toilet bowl cleaner and thought that it would be a great product for both toilets; I bought one to test it out and I am glad that I didn't rush into things and buy two of them for both bathrooms. While it is easy to set up, the tubes do come out of place which means the water won't flow correctly and your flushes won't happen. If you have pets that drink out of the toilet (whether you allow it or not) you are going to want to avoid using this even if you are diligent about putting the lid down after each flush. That was one of my biggest concerns with this but as soon as my dogs approached the bowl and smelled something different they turned around and walked away but I can't say that all dogs or pets are going to react the same way when the Never Scrub is installed and in use. If this worked as advertised then it would be a great product but I still had to scrub the toilet to get the build up around the underside of the rim loose enough to have it flush away. It does clean the bowl where the water comes in contact with the inside of the toilet but for stains or dirt above the water line, you are still going to have to clean that by hand. This is refillable so you don't need to buy a new unit when the solution runs out but they can be hard to find in retail stores. The premise of this is ingenious because you don't have to spend a lot of time installing it but the tubes can come loose and that means taking the back of the tank off, fixing them and doing a test flush to see if the water is going to force the tubes to come loose again.

I was really impressed with this product. We have well water that tends to leave some rust stains in the sink and bathroom. This even cleaned out all of the rust stains under the rim. It says to replace in 3 months it lasted us for 4. I would recommend this product to all my friends!!

When we moved into a house with a well and septic tank a few years ago, I was a little intimidated about finding cleaning products that would be safe to wash down the drain.  I was also not excited about the stains left by the well water in all the toilets.  Someone told me about Kaboom Never Scrub.  I found a good deal to try one and haven't turned back. If you're not mechanically inclined, it can be a little intimidating to install as it requires hooking it up to your toilets incoming water supply. Oh, that's the other thing I like.  It's not a cleaner that sits in your toilet insides and slowly eats them away (like the blue stuff). I started with clean toilets when I started using mine so I don't know if it works reactively but it's definitely proactive.  I always know when I need to replace mine because the stains start to come back. There is no strong smell and no color.  Every once in a while I get a whiff if a "clean" smell.  I love that I can pick up the refills at Bed Bath and Beyond where I always have a 20% coupon.

i give this a 3.  actually ALL of the reviewrs are right.  so here is the poop, yes it has a strong smell, yes it adds to the cleaning process. BUT you still have to clean the toilet.  NO product does that for you.  this is simply an AID to toilet cleaning NOT a substitute and anyone with a modicum of intelligence should know.  i have it in all 3 of my toilets and replace the carts every 3 months.  i liked the granuals better than the tablets, but they disolved too soon, (read worked faster).  it is not a bad product just do NOT expect it to do your work for you.  it is an add on.

When I started using the Kaboom Never Scrub toilet cleaning system, I ordered the starter kit and refills.  I was pleased to find that our toilets looked clean and a hard-water ring did not appear as it usually does.  I didn't much care for the odor of bleach when flushing, but I could live with it. I was so pleased that I gave my friend a starter kit and refill. When it came time to replace the original cartridge, I could not remove it.  I tried everything:  Soaking it in vinegar, soaking it in LimeAway, using a strap wrench, and asking my husband to attempt to remove it with brawn.  Nothin'. My friend had the same problem. Sent e-mail to the website a couple of weeks ago, but have not heard from them.

I ordered this Kaboom Never Scrub when it was offered free for paying S&H.  I was NOT disappointed.  I put it in my guest bathroom.  My husband asked why it smelled so clean in there now(yes there is an odor to it that is not offensive)  and I told him about Kaboom.  He asked (ordered) me to get one for each of our bathrooms.  We have hard well water and it is hard to keep the toilets clean...or was hard.  Now I rarely have to clean the toilets.  This stuff really works for us!!!  Each refill pack has coupons in it for the next purchase so I have stocked up with refills so we never run out.  I don't know why it would not work for some people but it definitely WORKS at our house.  I would say give it a try!!

I bought this product to prevent me from having to clean the toilet all the time. I am not impressed with it. I like that it does not rot away your fixtures inside your toilet tank, but it does not work well and it does NOT smell good. On more than one occasion I have wondered why my bathroom smelled of bleach just to find out that it was from this product. If you plan on cleaning the toilet anyway and just don't want AS big of a job, this might work for you, but be prepared to smell the product.

I thought this would help, I love all the other Kaboom products I've used. I still don;t know how well it works becasue I can not get it installed. The clip is not very flexible and I can not get it to clip on the tank. What a dissapointment.

I believed the name and reputation of this product so much, that I bought 3 extra replacements along with the original purchase. Sigh... That was big a waste of money!  The product was easy enough to install inside my toilet. However, it did take a bit of brute force to push in on the back of the tank.  Never Scrub is an oxymoronic statement, because I still have to scrub the toilet just as much as before. Also, the chemical smell when I walk into the bathroom is *nauseating*.  When it comes to toilet cleaning, it still pays to do it the old-fashioned way.
