Kaboodle.com seems like yet another wishlist organizer at first glance, but with a little experience it can become so much more.

As a registered user you can view other user's shopping lists, wishlists, and silly lists. There's a variety of categories to choose from, so don't let the initial "Style Test" put you off. Frankly when I took the test I thought the site would be all posh, ugly clothing and useless gadgets, but it's truly the users that make the experience worthwhile.

Within user lists you can find true gems of bargains on anything from sweaters to craft supplies. You will discover websites you'd never heard of and products you had no idea existed - like the Cupcake Carrier!

It's also a wonderful place to start compiling your own lists. You can add items from anywhere on the web, even if they're not technically for sale (i.e., design websites). Amazon.com, Overstock.com, combine all your wishlists into one! The browser toolbar allows a one-click nearly instant list addition feature, as well as a handy home button to swoop back to Kaboodle and organize your finds.

Additionally, you can comment on your own entries or other user's entries, add friends based on similar styles, or even search for the perfect gift in their search feature. Setting up categories and subcategories is easy, and adding tags makes for finding things in the future a snap.

My two favorite uses of Kaboodle just occurred recently. First, I added several items from a magazine into my lists. You always see these great makeup products or some awesome floor lamp but what do you DO with that info? Find it online and add it to Kaboodle!

My second favorite use is gift giving. Kaboodling provides a vast array of ideas for gifts, ranging from $2 to $9,000, all with a few searches. I even keep my gift lists broken out by price, so if I need a grab bag gift or a graduation gift, I can find something appropriate already on my lists, pop over to the website and buy it. For the holiday season I've already used my lists several times to help others find 'the perfect gift!'

I usually Kaboodle two or three times a week, with a heavy session on the weekend when I can really get in there and troll the user lists. It's simplified my time online and provided a great organization tool of all my notes of things to buy or things to try.

I highly recommend spending a little time on the site and seeing how you like it. Don't get discouraged by other people's poor taste, get in there and show them yours!
