The pause and serve feature allows interruption anytime during the brewing cycle to remove the carafe; an audible signal sounds when the brewing cycle is complete. The water reservoir holds 60 ounces and will automatically shut off when empty. Includes sturdy 12 cup glass carafe.

good--from a non-coffee drinker

First of all, I am not a coffee drinker- at all- but understand that most people are, so I wanted to get an inexpensive coffee maker for when we have company. People have said the coffee is fine, and it is very light and easy to use, so since it is in storage 99% of the time, it is conveniently put away. I would hope it would work just as well as it does for me if I were to use it more often, so if you are looking for a relatively cheap coffee maker, from what my guests say, this is a good bet. Brew Performance don't know much about brewing coffee, but it doesn't take long and isn't weak or too strong. Ease of Cleaning easy to clean! Ease of Use easy to use Design simple design, light, easy to store Durability has lasted a while, but not used very often at all

Great Coffeemaker

5

We love this Krups coffee maker. It is such a step above the other coffee makers out there. We were given our first Krups coffeemaker when we were married 18 years ago. That coffeemaker lasted until just recently. I decided I would try a cheaper coffeemaker since we weren't making as much coffee. I was so disappointed by the other brand that I tried that I went out and purchased another Krups coffeemaker right away. It is so easy to pour water into the machine and the coffee pot pours well, too. This coffee maker is extremely easy to clean also. I would highly recommend this coffeemaker and the Krups brand in general.

Great basic coffee maker, must have for parties

5

Although we now use our espresso maker for every day, we purchased this Krups coffee maker for entertaining. It was a great buy. It's frazzling to deal with the hassle of making coffee for large groups of people, but this maker is easy to use. We set it up, and with the push of a button, voila!, fresh brew. Water filtration ensures that the coffee always tastes great. We've not regretted this attractive basic for entertaining. Ease of Cleaning No more difficult than any other coffee maker. We've always hand-washed the carafe, as I've broken a few in my time. . . Design I like the design, no qualms about leaving it right in sight of our guests. Durability This coffee maker can take a beating. It's survived moves, still works like a champ.

Long lasting coffee pot, but.....

I've had this coffeepot for awhile, and I would definalty purchase a Krups again. However I will say that with daily use the on/off switch has become a bit stiff and sometimes doesn't come on. Now we do use our pot twice a day - we do have it on the timer for the AM shift, but in the afternoon for a fresh pot we turn it on...it makes great coffe, the program timer has never failed us, it is easy to clean and is a workhorse for sure. I only wish they had made the switch a little stronger. :)

Krups 12-Cup Progrmbl. Coffemaker gets Passing Grade

3

We have had this coffee maker for several years now, so I would have to say it has passed the durability test. This coffeemaker brews a tasty cup of coffee, so in terms of the basics, this unit definitely covers the bases. I do, however, have a couple of complaints. First, the automatic switch that pauses the brewing process when you remove the caraffe before the brewing process is complete has been a hit-or-miss proposition. There have been times when I have been running out the door late for work and tried to grab a cup of coffee before the whole pot is done brewing and wound up with puddles of coffee all overe the counter. My other concern involves the basket that holds the coffee filter. Its ribbed nature makes it practically impossible to clean well. It is quite possible that the remnants of coffee brewed long ago still remain stuck to the ridged wall of the basket. Still, it brews good coffee, which means is performs its primary function well.

Krups Coffee Maker: Very functional but missing features I want

3

The Krups coffee maker does make a good pot of coffee.  Of course I give a lot of credit to the ground beans first off, but still this Krups coffee pot delivers a good cup of Joe. It's easy to use and doesn't seem too persnickity, as in the coffee pots that overflow and spill grounds everywhere when all of the parts and the moon and stars aren't lined up perfectly. **Features of the Krups Coffee Maker:** -water well window so you can see exactly how much water you've added -delay start timer -automatic shut off when you turn it on but have forgotten to add water -select how many cups you want to make, up to 12 cups of coffee -pause to pour feature -comes in black or white What I don't like about this coffee maker is that it doesn't have automatic shut off.  I fear leaving the house and forgetting to turn off the coffee maker and since many coffee makers offer this feature, it clearly isn't too much to ask. Secondly, I don't think this, or glass coffee pots in general, keep the coffee hot enough.  It's nice and hot when it is first made but over time, not so much.  When I've tried coffee that comes from an insulated pot, it has always been much hotter.  So an insulated coffee pot is another feature I'll be looking for the next time I purchase a coffee maker. **My Viewpoint: ** The Krups coffee maker makes a good pot of coffee, that is initially at least nice and hot.  It's easy to use and has some helpful features. However, it's missing two features I want the next time around: automatic shut off and an insulated pot.

Krups FME2 A Possessed Coffee Pot...Beware!

1

When we fist got the Krups FME2 it worked like a "normal" coffee pot.  After about a week, it's brewing duration grew by about ten minutes.  But if this were the ONLY problem, I would not have taken the time to even review it.   However, this coffee pot "thinks" for itself, brews coffee when not even programed and beeps in the middle of the night to let you know it just made you a fresh pot at 3:30am! I think it needs a priest, because it is truly possessed!  Frankly, I HATE this machine, not only is the carafe's pot only worth 3 "real" mugs of coffee.  But the loading reservoir is really narrow and I am forever spilling water all over the counter.   The locking lid on the carafe is ok, but the pot's "lip" is terrible at getting the water into the machine.  It has the most vague of instructions written in forty languages and does not even tell you how to tun off that insistent beeping! So if you are into possessed kitchen appliance's this is your baby.  But if you want a your cup of coffee brewed when YOU want it, stay away from the Krups FME 2. If I never write another review, it means the coffee maker got me.....

Great Krups Coffee Maker

5

Well the old coffee pot didn't look nice and didn't have a timer,, someone had to get up first to get the process started.  Got this new stainless steel Krups coffee maker and the timer is this blue light which looks really cool and makes the coffee exactly when you want to,, what will they think of next.  The coffee stays hot longer and there are other programing functions you can you,, wish ti could let the dogs out for their morning constitutional,, but that wasn't included in the deal.  But hey,, having the house smell like Starbucks at exactly 6 a.m. every morning is just what the doctor ordered.

When working it's great ... I'm on my 5th one...

Krups FME2 - I Love the features and the coffee it makes.. Just wish it was reliable. I'm on my 5th one.. 1st lasted 9 months and went wacky ... 2nd would not keep coffee hot. 3rd was bad from day one.. smelled of hot plastic and coffee was too hot... 4th just failed after 4 months... say no water when it's full... I'm off to Bed Bath and Beyond to trade it in (AGAIN)   This will be my last one if it fails... I hope Krups reads this...

I'm a big fan of Krups FME2 coffee makers

5

This isn't my first Krups pot or small appliance.  I keep coming back to them for dependable, easy to use machines.  So when my last one died after4 years, I was thrilled to find the Krups FME2 coffee maker.  I think this pot brews faster than others I've seen, it's stylish and doesn't overcrowd or stand out on my counter.  If it lasts as long as my last Krups one, I'll be buying another Krups coffee maker.  It's also seems pretty stain resistant.  The plate cleans up well and I haven't really seen much discoloration in the filter or the carafe.  Even though I don't use the progammable feature, I'm glad it's available
