The only care needed or recommended for this filter is the K&N filter cleaning kit, which you can pick up anywhere they sell K&N Filters. It is very easy to clean with this kit. Just spray on the cleaner, wait a few minutes then rince. Thats it. The filter will not only save you money but will also improve your overall promformance from the ATV. For our Brute Force, the filter actually increased our horsepower and thus the speed. Even taking our four wheeler though very deep mud holes the filter still preformed with amazing results. You can also buy these lifetime filters for your vehicle too. When the average filter needs replacing every so many months, the K&N lasts a lifetime. So it is well worth the price when you add it all up.
