I just tried Just for Men. I have a moderate to low amount of grays on the side of my head and very little anywhere else. I was attracted to try Just for Men because it stated that it "targets only gray for a natural look." This is exactly what I wanted seeing as I only have a grays on the side and did not want to change my overall hair color. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Not only did the shampoo dye my hair in areas I didn't want it to, it did not get the gray out. I am extremely disappointed with this product. I have to wait over a month before my natural hair color returns and again, the grays remain. I followed the instructions and bought a hair color that is slightly lighter than mine. Still, it did the opposite of what it was supposed to - targeted all areas other than gray. If you have a good amount of natural color and a small amount of gray that you want to color, I would highly advise not using this product.

Overall a good hair color for men. I honestly don't know if it's different from women's hair color but I don't feel embarrassed when I buy it at the store so it's a good choice for me. Effectiveness It colors well and for me, it lasts about 6 weeks. If you shampoo more often it will fade out faster in my experience with this product. overall, it covers my gray fine and I do touch up about every three weeks or so. I do recommend that if you're an older guy like myself, go one or two shades lighter than your natural color. My hair was very dark when i was younger. I go lighter to look more natural rather than the jet black Elvis Presley look which looks fake. Ease of Application It's as easy as it is with most hair colors I suppose but it still seems a bit messy. My girlfriend says all hair colors are messy so i assume that's just how it is. You will need an old shirt or something to wrap around your neck as this color seems to get all over me even when I'm careful. It will also dye your skin if it gets on you and is not easy to scrub off so be careful.

I'm a woman and I have often used this product because it's inexpensive for the time the color lasts. Effectiveness It covers my gray spots by my temples as well as covers the stray gray hairs on my crown. The color is also shiny and natural. Ease of Application Mix and apply to wet hair, and by the time I have made all my hair wet, it has been enough time for the dye to work.

I applied for my dad.( I'm about to become a professional hair colorist and needed some practice on males.) He had lots of gray hair hair, and some white. He wanted to have it applied everywhere, beard and mustache included. Worked for the most part, but had some spots that didn't color on the beard. Though the product does not say that it is meant to be used for use on facial hair. Also lasted for only a couple of months. (maybe 3 months) Gloves are humongous, so they will no doubt fit most males. Effectiveness Didn't color all stands on facial hair, though i don't believe the product is meant to be used on beards and mustaches. Ease of Application Easy to mix, don't have to wait long, and easy to apply to necessary areas and to see where else to apply. Though if it is your first time applying you may need assistance. Directions are easy to read and understand. Plus there is only a few steps to the whole process of coloring.

As I get older, I am seeing more and more gray hair in my head. So I decided to try Just For Men. For me, it was really easy to apply, and the color looked really natural and just wonderful. There was a little bit a staining on my skin that usually washed off in a couple of days. But that small bit of staining was well worth the overall look when I was finished. And it was a great buy, because one box lasted for multiple uses. I highly recommend this product.

My hair is naturally light brown, my hair started going grey at temples and down by my ears but no where else. I was 32 and started the lightest brown color Just For Men offered. I would just lightly touch up those bits about every two weeks before a shower. 10 years later and I still do, my younger brother has gone grey in that area and looks older. My hair is now going slightly grey overall now, so I gently use this in strips, yes I literally paint in on like a zebra, leave it for 5 mins MAX and shampoo it out. The result is awesome, I have my natural hair color, 50 % of grey is covered and the parts that are natural have just slight grey so it looks so natural, no one knows I color my hair, I am now 42 and still use it. A word of warning never leave it on for more than the 5 minutes as suggested, else it will go too dark.

Great item that does a great job covering gray hair,it is long lasting and has a great reputation,the packaging desig is very artistic and attractive looking,The ampont of product is a bit to small realtive to the size of the box,the internal bottles have a lettering design and coloring that is a lttle bit rustic and can be improved,with better lettering and artistic design,the product has good safe chemistry that produces a color that does not wash away and that lasts many shampoos.It covers gray hair in a pretty effective manner and does not color the scalp as easily as other hair dyes.It produces a color that looks pretty natural and shiny.Overall a good product Wish it had more product and less packaging.

When we first started using dye on my husband's hair, we tried quite a few different brands and colors. When he found Just For Men Hair Color, he grabbed a box, not thinking. This package is designed for men with hair only about an inch or two in length. Anything above that makes for some fancy dancing trying to make the dye go through the entire hair. My husband has shoulder length tapered hair so this box was not enough to cover his entire head. When he had shorter hair for a time, he tried it again, and it barely covered. His hair was only about 3 inches long at the time. Effectiveness The colors in this line of hair color are on the cooler side and do not tend to pull red like some brands do. I have used the black, dark brown and a brownish black color. They are very dark and make the hair look quite intense. I found that they did not last as long as we would have liked, as they came out in only about three weeks. During the summer, the hair grew out anyway, but the winter time, it was a bit soon to have to re-dye the hair. Condition of the hair is left decent, but after a while, the color tends to look overdone and inky and dull when used more than once in a row. Gray coverage is good, however, and it does cover. I would recommend you start with a color a bit lighter than you think you need and then move darker if necessary. These are all pretty dark. Ease of Application This package of dye is easy to use and apply, if you have shorter hair. Longer hair, you will need two of them. They don't tend to stain the face as badly as some of the brands do, but there is some staining, so you will want to protect the skin with petroleum jelly or other barrier just to be sure. It stays on moustache hair fairly well, but only for two weeks generally and then it fades away.

I much prefer the Natural Instincts product as it provides  better coverage and lasts longer.  It also tends to look natural.  Just For Men, at least for me, does not last very long and does not to a good job of covering the white and grey hair.  It also has a different smell which I am not crazy about.  Both products are easy to use and only takes 20 minutes or less to complete the treatment.  Both seems to cost about the same, although it is much easier to find Just For Men, which seems to be the dominant product and seems to be carried by just about every drugstore.  It can be different to buy in some stores because they will keep it locked behind glass doors and I have to have a employee unlock it to take it out.  It is one of those products that I used to feel a little embarassed to buy, but after ten years of doing it, I have noticed many more men do use hair dye so I no longer worry about doing it anymore.
