I am jumping on the band wagon of Ellen Page fans now after seeing Juno. This movie totally gave me permagrin for hours after leaving the theater. I laughed so hard at all the quirky, witty one-liners from Ellen's character, Juno. She was the coolest female character I have seen on the big screen since Olive in Little Miss Sunshine.

Okay, so as many already know... the plot is about a young teen, Juno, who sleeps with her high school crush and ends up in Preggersville. She initially considers an abortion and even goes to the appointment to have one. While at the abortion clinic, she encounters a lone protestor who is actually a classmate and another young teen receptionist. The receptionist coldly asks that Juno complete all the paperwork in as much detail as possible and remarks... "We need to know everything... every score and sore. Got it?" Crude but funny in my book. Ultimately, Juno opts out of the abortion and decides to give the baby up for adoption. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Go see the movie.

I feel like this movie is very important for our teen generation today. The story of Juno could help make adoption "cool."  Teen mom's seem to consider raising the baby or abortion as their only options. [I don't have any data to back this up though, it's just a hunch.] Adoption could become a more popular option now after Juno made it look like an awesome decision.

Less abortions + more happy adopted parents who couldn't have kids on their own + less ill equipted teens raising children while sacrificing education = a pretty darn good equation.

Don't walk into the movie thinking it's going to change your life or anything. It's just a cute flick with dark, teenie-bopper humor and a heartwarming story.

Oh and by the way... Ellen Page will be hugely famous soon cause the girl can really act. She has great confidence and charisma on the screen. Can't wait to see her next one!! If you liked Little Miss Sunshine and the TV show Arrested Development, you are going to like Juno.

Ok, I finally saw this one. I did like it! I didn't laugh as much as I expected too but I did laugh. My boyfriend almost fell off the sofa laughing a few times. ;-) It's an important story topic as it seems like teen pregnancy is the result of drinking water these days. The acting was well done.
