Jumper Review Summary

"I'm glad I saw it, and I'd jump at the chance to see it again." Jumper, a sci-fi thriller, has Max Thieriot and Hayden Christensen splitting time as a young man with the ability to transport himself instantaneously, and AnnaSophia Robb (Bridge to Terabithia) and Rachel Bilson (The Last Kiss) splitting time as his love interest. While reviewers thought this film had "interesting characters and plot development," they also found it to be "somewhat cheesy." All agreed that Jumper was "Action-packed but leaves you hanging." Many reviewers were very disappointed in the ending in the ending of Jumper, and not wanting others to be just as disappointed, they have spelled out the ending in their review, so beware of spoilers. "Great in the beginning ... dud ending!!"

It's been a while since I've written a review. There's only been a few movies that I felt needed a review written about them to entice people to go see them. Jumper is most definitely one of those films. For about 2 weeks before Jumper came out, I had been hearing terrible things about it. Everything... read full review »

This movie has some really great special effects but if you're looking for a compelling story line or characters you actually give a crap about then you'll be disappointed with this movie.  I am a huge fan of Hayden Christianson and Rachel Bilson but even they couldn't keep me into this movie.  The... read full review »

Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson and Samuel L. Jackson play in Jumper.

Plot:  A young man discovers that he can teleport anywhere at anytime.  He also discovers that there are others just like him and others who are out to kill ones like him.  Now thrown into a war that has been fought for thousands of years, David (Christensen) has to discover how to live and keep what he values at the same time.

What I thought:  Jumper is a good action film.  It's got a pretty good storyline that hasn't been rundown in the movie world so it's still pretty fresh and entertaining.  It's pretty fascinating... read full review »

When I first saw the previews for Jumper, I thought, "Wow, that looks awesome!" Well, it didn't dissappoint as far as action. Interesting characters and plot development but there were some parts of the relationship between characters that was lacking and somewhat cheesy. It is full of action scenes that I am sure many guys will think are great. It kept me interested and entertained but the ending was much to be desired and kind of just drops you off and leaves you asking, "What?" Overall though, I would recommend this movie but if they are going to make a sequel, I'm not sure there is much left... read full review »

I have seen time-jumping flicks before but not many that jump from place to place.  I usually don't get into this type of movie but I found this enjoyable enough to buy the DVD.  Hayden Christenson does an excellent job in this movie!  This is worth owning on DVD, VHS, or BlueRay.

Honestly, I thought of Jumper as a great movie.  It was wonderfully written and had a great plot and storyline.  Charecter development was also spectacular.  All mysteries and unknown and confusing points were solved, but one point.  I thought that the ending was terrible.  It did not finish up and solve the movie.  In the last 10 minutes we have the meeting with the hero and his mother, who's job is to eliminate her son.  She says at the end of their talk, "I love you, so I'll give you a head start."  So now the mother is going to attack, NO.  The evil bad guy is never finished off also. ... read full review »

In Jumper, the main character is played by two very hot guys (Max Thieriot as the teen and Hayden Christensen as the adult) and there is also the very familiar face of AnnaSophia Robb from Bridge to Terabithia. This was a pretty intense movie, and I was clutching my seat the entire time, waiting to see what was going to happen next. Of course, the idea of "teleporting" has already been showed in other movies, but "jumping" isn't quite the same and is actually pretty original as far as super-powers go.

I really enjoyed Jumper.  I thought the storyline was great and my interest was held throughout the movie.  The actors did a fine job and the special effects were just right.  I wasn't very happy with the end.  There was no real resolution.  The door is open for a sequel, but I think they could have done a better job of winding up.  I read online that this movie sucked, but I am glad I went anyway.  It really was worth seeing.

Jumper kept me interested but left me wanting more.  Why not make the movie a little longer and explain some things.  Add a little depth to the movie.  it is difficult to go from annasofia a very good actress to a grown up bilson (whose acting seems to consist of making pretty eyes.

This movie was great in the beginning ... good set up ... it has awesome graphics ... then you get to the ending and the credits are rolling and you are wondering if you fell asleep somewhere and missed something.  It was a great movie ... the ending was a huge let down!!

This movie wasn't horrible, but it wasn't terrific.  I would say it was just average.  I did like the effects during the car sequence.  I wouldn't pay to watch it, but I would watch it for free.
