Juicy Burgers & More - Ballston Spa, NY —

My husband raves about Five Guys hamburgers.  He was so excited when they came to our area but tonight I took him to a better burger joint.  It is a new spot called Juicy Burgers & More located at 15 Trieble Avenue in Ballston Spa, NY.

The owner, Bobby Mitchell created the slogan, "So rare, yet so well done" and I must say I didn't get it until I had a burger.  The burgers are made out of fresh [never frozen] sirloin and chuck steak with absolutely NO FILLERS.  The patties are then cooked in a 1800 degree oven-fired broiler to seal in the juices and make a really tasty sandwich.

The meat is then placed on a country white roll [amazing rolls] and then the fun begins.  With the build a burger option one can add as many items as you'd like.  My husband added so many his burger had to be held together with a skewer!

Add your choice of battered onion rings, sweet potato or yukon gold fries and you have a great meal.

The "more" part of the name takes into account dieters, vegetarians and non red meat fans.  There are several salads to choose from as well as lobster bisque, chicken noodle or soup of the day.  If you prefer poultry  the workers will gladly make your sandwich with a chicken breast.  For the little guys they also offer a kids menu.

The burgers here a bit pricey but with the cost of gas it evens out for us to eat locally or drive to Clifton Park...

Watch out fast food joints; there is a new burger in town!

Do you mean the old fashioned milkshakes made out of real ice cream and real fruit? Oh, I can almost taste one.

I've eaten at Juicy Burger twice and it is very good although I found both the burgers and the fries a bit over-seasoned. The food is kind of addictive though, seems like high-quality ingredients and the onion rings were fabulous. Just wish they offered milkshakes too, then it would be a true burger joint!

Sorry to disagree with you. I have had In and Out Burgers. They do not compare with Five Guys. [in my opinion]

We've finally been to the mecca of 518 burger joints and...Not worth it in the least. A good burger but not worth the drive or price. We could've went to Testo's for 10 bucks more AND solid food. But then again we were not looking for Italian. The burger is no better than Friendly's and the buns are even the same. I have not tried 5 guys but now feel like I have to. If you have the chance to while in the SoCal area check out In and Out. They are the best at doing this.....you'll take a trip back to Cali JUST for that.

Enjoy.

I live & die on burgers & I've been all over the world. To find a place like this in my own back yard make me feel like I died and gone to heaven. The ONLY problem I've found is that this place is not a franchise! Best of luck to Bobby & his staff fo a long and happy future! See you soon!!!

This is Meri's husband, Terry. Everything Meri said is correct. This was an excellent burger with a very yummy side order of onion rings which we shared. I highly recommend the spicy mayo and the sauteed mushrooms---yum, yum! One of my gripes at many burger joints is the meat is rarely hot enough to melt the cheese or that they do not put the cheese on the meat so it will melt. If you, too, love melted cheese on your burger then your problem is forever solved. Melted cheese fans will love the way the cheese melts. It appears that at 1800 degrees, melting cheese is not a problem. In fact, keeping it on or inside the bun becomes problematic but that is certainly a problem I can live with. Enjoy! I certainly did. Oh, you may want to do some "mouth streching exercises" prior to going as you will be challenged to get your mouth over the entire burger.

To my knowledge it is the only one at the moment....

Hey, that sounds like my burger review! JK! I don't know why but I always call that other restaurant Fat Guys and a Pizza....what gives? Anyway, I love their bacon cheddar hot dog. I've never heard of this restaurant. Is it owner/operated or franchise?
