Synhopsis:
As American made Oktoberfest beers go, this one isn't bad. Having said that, however, I haven't ever tasted an American made Oktoberfest beer that tastes as good as a German made Oktoberfest beer. The difference is in the mashing technique known as decoction. Very few American brewers do decoction mashes. The effect is experienced in the depth of malty richness and sweetness in the finished beer -which is also related to the creaminess in the mouthfeel.
